Another guy saying thanks for a great thread. One quick question - you describe the shots you have taken as relatively aggressive as compared to your bankroll. Can you elaborate more using # of bi's? I feel that I have a pretty aggressive strategy at times, by taking anything over 20BIs for a given limit to take a shot at the next highest limit with and if it sticks - it sticks. Is this along the lines of how you have done it?

He never elaborated on # of buyins, but if you are good at math, you might be able to figure it out from this.

"Right around before PP closed to US players, I started playing on FTP and UB. I had terrible BR management. One time when I had an 80k roll, I played 25/50 and 50/100 on UB with 15k in my account, ran it up to 105k, and then lost it all over the span of 2 days."

in general.... when a new screenname appears at the 200/400+ games do you seriously consider the possibility that it is some rich fishy? surely it is usually a tough reg with a new ID.
if a new SN sits with you will you play him? would you ask who they are?

I can relate to the annoyance of losing, no matter the stakes, though I can usually leave it at the table. I don't really know what to suggest. Maybe you should take some time and study variance. I've been shown some numbers, I forget where, that shocked me. Stuff like how long a losing streak can go on with reasonable probability. It might make you come to terms with the fact that you're often going to lose to someone worse than you.

Mikey and Phil are very close friends... Phil even mentions playing with Mikey on page 10 as one of his favorite memories while playing poker...

i've known mikey since we were 10 and he's been very close friends with phil for years now. as lord stackington pointed out already, phil's favorite poker memory is playing 2/5nl with mikey at the Wynn.

these questions were an obvious joke and i'm sure when phil reads them he's going to be laughing out loud in front of his computer as i did when i read them.

numbers 11, 13, and 14 especially. which, i'm betting, are the same ones those who called for the ban found most offensive.
