if you were at a wsop tv table with phil hellmuth, and he was berating you hardcore. calling you idiot donkey internet player who luckboxed his way into event by winning some gay satellite. he comments all the time on your play, and says you play too aggro. he says stuff like, "this isnt the internet kid, you can't just raise every hand and suck out on people. this is real poker. you play too fast. you have to slow play your big hands and then pop em on the river." you river a straight in a hand verse him in a hand, and he calls your river value bet with his slow played KK. he then berates you more with all of the things you would expect him to say. no one else at the table is defending you. in fact, it seems like some of them are agreeing with PH for the most part that you are indeed an inferior player to him.

how would you react?

Do you have many losing sessions ? ( like a 60/40 breakdown or w/e)

In FR, Is it proftiable to incorporate a 6m mentality when the first 3+ players fold ?

I guess just my progression through the limits... I can remember one tabling low limit SNG's and literally shaking because I was so nervous. Now I am overbet bluff shoving five figures on the river without a second thought. Pretty crazy to think of all the work and stress I have put into this game, but looking back it is really cool to see how far I have come.

- biggest poker regret

I think I mentioned this earlier, but I was playing a decent volume of exclusively mid stakes tournaments and SNGs for almost 3 years and it is sickening to think how many millions I would have made if I had been playing cash games back then instead. I mean going from never playing a cash game online before to playing in and beating what is considered by many to be the hardest games in the world (5k 6m on Stars) in less than 2 years, not bad if I might say so myself =)

- biggest poker failure

Playing way too many tables and "auto-piloting" for far too long. It took a lot of work to unlearn some of the bad habits that I developed. I think a lot of the mass tabling small stakes grinders are doing it wrong, but that is just my opinion.

-life accomplishment you're most proud of

Kind of lame but balancing everything throughout college. My fall quarter of my freshman year I was: working 20-30 hours a week coordinating advertising for our school paper, president of one of the largest student organizations on campus, starring in a marketing reality show for mtvU which took up ~ 40 hours/wk, super involved in my fraternity, maintaining a 3.9 GPA while taking 20 credit hours, looking for a full-time job, and still going out and getting hammered 4-5 times a week. I talk to Zep and I am like "how the F do you do it" but I was pretty similar back in the day... if you put your mind to it you can do just about anything.

-biggest life regret

Well, as much as this is going to sound hypocritical after that last one lol, just being super lazy since graduating college. Yeah things have gone really well with poker but I have kind of let a lot of other aspects of my life slip. I have lost touch with a lot of really good friends, fallen completely out of shape (I am finally rectifying this), and developed a lot of really lazy habits. Probably a product of the poker lifestyle, but I don't see any reason why it needs to be that way.

Also, this one would probably sound weird too, but having too high of standards with girls. I have turned down (not literally, but more like I knew they were interested and made sure it didn't happen) more 6-7's both for one night's and dating than I can count because I thought I could do better. While probably true, I think I lost out on a lot of potentially fun experiences and now that girls are not nearly as easy to come by I definitely regret that lol.

-biggest life failure

Well, I would say the whole situation with my job at Ford since it caused me to get stuck up in Michigan for over a year, but things have worked out pretty well because of that =)

preference: bush, waxed, landing strip, small landing strip, original styling?

Check out the list and let me know what you think.

Girl Talk came to the Newport on campus when I was at Ohio State. I had a blast but honestly I wasn't super impressed with his show. I think it was because he had just released his latest mix CD and was promoting it (which I had already downloaded) so he just played that set live and I was really hoping to hear some new stuff. I have heard from a few other people that this was atypical so I would definitely see him again. E-603 and Super Mash Bros are pretty similar and they have their albums for free online if you want to download and check them out.

I haven't heard alot of those you mentioned but I am definitely going to check them out.

Klaas - Super catchy, real good to mix in. Helped made one of the best trance songs (infinity) ever imo.
LMFAO - Just crank out hits, props to them for recognizing the "electropop" genre would always have a spot in the clubs
Fedde le grand - awesome, I dont think he has a song I dont like
mstrkrft - had never heard of before ricky got me hooked, would be a sick sick show to see sometime

Fwiw Scotty, AJFenix and myself went to Girl Talk when he came to Vancouver a couple months back. Can neither confirm nor deny what substances were taken but I thought the show was very weak. The songs were just meh and the speaker volume was way too low for that type of music. Still love feed the animals and would def see Mash Bros if they came.

How much of a different person do you think you would be if you took the path of a 9-5? How has the solo aspect of poker and the huge amounts of money involved changed you? Are you more generous or more stingy in helping others? Are you unhappy with the way some of your non-poker friends view you and your chosen path?

Yeah, I just did a quick google search for animated forum avatars and this is one of the first ones I found. I guess it is just some japanese model at a tradeshow.

Also, on a more serious note, now that you fluctuate between a variety of levels, do you struggle not to play too spewy at levels where the money is not as big (i.e., dropping back down to 5/10 after playing 10/25 or 25/50)?
Yes a bit. I think if anything I become more tight/passive (i.e. normal for FR lol) When I am mixing limits I definitely pay more attention to the 25/50 tables than the 5/10 tables. The smaller pots don't really interest me as much so I tend to let them go easier and I have made some questionable call downs because "lol $300 w/e I call". I am definitely worried about this but it hasn't seemed to affect my winrate too much at 5/10 in the short run, so we'll see. If I am playing alot of high stakes tables I will close out some of the 5/10 tables where my edge might not be so great so I can focus attention better.
