I don't know what he's doing either, but I'm folding vs. an unknown. I imagine he'll show up with flush draws a ton, and occasionally bizarrely played sets or Ax hands.

The trouble is I don't think he's doing this with 88 or QQ as often as one of the above hands, so on average when you're behind you only have 14% equity, whereas when you're ahead I'd expect to usually have about 63% equity -- not a good scenario when facing a 3x pot shove.

I cry some and fold and then stack him the next time when I got AK instead of KK. As Proofrock said, he will have alot more equity when he is ahead versus your equity when you're ahead.

with no notes, you are playing pretty much blind and can only hope he is a maniac playing trash. I would have to fold here and wait for a better chance, though only calling the reraise is going to get you into this kind of trouble quite a lot

I find that almost always when a half stack does a move like this they have complete air or a draw. However I probably still fold this

CDL -- I'm assuming you called. What did he have if you don't mind me asking?

lol this is so true. Some days I make conscious efforts to call someone in a specific spot and see what happens.

Yeah but calling here is spew. This guy's stack size is ******ed suggesting that he's some stupid fish. From my experience, stupid fish have Ax in this spot a TON and they're "protecting their hand" or some other such illogic.

proof i fail to see how those hands are very similar

i also fail to see that proof lol, yours is such a snapcall where this isnt

I said they weren't that similar, but both involve unknowns overbet open-shoving 3x pot in 3-bet pots on 2-flush boards. Change my AA to KK and the Qd to Ad and they're the same -- obviously my hand is a snap-call whereas CDL's isn't.

Also, I was looking for a reason to post the hand and then this thread came up .

He is making his decisions and yours easier to make.
Has an ace and is really scared of getting drawn out on....will make this move again when behind.
He gets a purple color!
