Villain is a middle aged asian male passive player who usually prefers to limp or call pre-flop. Rarely do I see the player open or 3-bet preflop. I have some history but I don't think villain remembers much. A few hands earlier I saw villain bet river when he x-c flop and turn was x-x. He got called and he mucked his hand. So he is capable of bluffing.

I don't see much 2s in his range here, so should I continue to bet turn? Am I b-f here?

Is river a call? What hands am I am calling off here? And what hands am I folding? Villain has suited aces pre flop. But would he bet smaller 2p especially when K hits?. He could have 45s. Maybe he is bluffing with 56s. And there are missed flushed draws. I lose to 67, any 2x and all the sets.

I wouldn’t have given up betting line on the turn. And as played I am calling river.

Two pair vs. a passive player is a 3 street hand. I would have bet the turn. Agree there are very few 2s in his range. As played, he may think you don't have an ace and is betting his top pair.

Re: Two Pair facing river bet

Preflop: A5s could be a raise, call, or fold depending on the table. It's tough to know which is best given the info provided.

Flop: $30 is good, but you could probably squeeze a couple more nickels out of him when he has a draw or Ax.

Turn: Bet $60ish and fold to a large raise.

Straight draws just got there, but there are a whole bunch of other hands HJ could hold that would love to see a free card. By betting smallish you can charge draws, get value out of hands like A7, and limit what you lose those times that you are behind.

As played, once he bets I think you should call based on your read that you've seen him bluff before.

River: As played, put out a blocking bet of 1/2 pot or less.

As played after the check, call. This is a tricky spot because your two pair is very vulnerable, but you know your opponent can bluff and there are a lot of hands in his range he could bluff with plus worse 2 pair hands that he thinks he is value betting. Getting better than 2:1 I think that makes this a call (barely).

Just my opinion...

Re: Two Pair facing river bet

Flop sizing is bad, we either want to go ~15 to put him in a gross spot with hands like KJ, KQ, 66, or we want to go $45 to grow the pot and put pressure on his weak Ax hands, which I assume he has a lot of. Turn you wanna keep betting, same with river, call river

Re: Two Pair facing river bet

The reasons to bet larger on the flop makes sense. And I do regret not betting the turn. But are we folding to even a decent raise on the turn?
