For those of you who know this game, you know it's a stupid short buy of 40 max BBs.

Hand #1:

Villain has shown station-ish qualities, but sat down about 45 minutes prior to this hand and won a big pot with a rivered 2 pair. He's a middle age Asian business man and is very loose with his calls preflop but doesn't like to stick around with big bets on the flop.

Hero is BTN (Stack: ~$700) with Ac-As. Villain (Stack - ~$490) is MP 2. 4 limpers preflop to Hero.

Hero makes it 35. BB calls as does Villain.

Flop:

Ad - 8d - 4s

(Pot ~$88)

Checked to hero who makes it $55. BB folds and Villain calls.

(Pot ~$198)

Turn:

3c

Villain leads out for $100. Obviously, we still have the nuts, so we jam...Villain tanks and calls.

River:

2d

Thoughts on all streets? What hands does he possibly get here with?

Hand 2:

Villain and I have some major history at this game. He likes to bluff and trap, loves check raising, generally plays like a LAGtard, which is surprising because he's an old guy, and gets very laggy and chatty when playing deep. On this particular night he has not been playing well (as usual) but is down about 4 buyins. I can tell that he is getting tilted and spewy.

Hero is CO (Stack: ~$450) and Villain is MP 1 (Stack: ~$250)

2 limpers including Villain to hero, holding 10h 10c. Hero makes it $30 to go.

Small blind and villain call.

Flop:

9c 8c 5s

(Pot: ~$100)
My initial thought is that this is a sick drawy flop and I need to get it in ASAP with my overpair. SB checks as does Villain. I make it $70 from the CO, SB folds, Villain jams.

I tank for a minute, obviously I'm getting decent odds on a call, but this check raise really screams set/straight or combo draw to me. I was about to fold, until I thought about some of the hands I've seen this guy play. I've seen him do similar things with J9 type hands, middle pair type hands, or random pair like 66 or 77. Any good player would not limp/call with an overpair higher than mine pre. I tank for a minute and call.

Turn:

7d

River:

10s

Both seem really really standard. I suspect these are actually bad beat stories masquerading as strategy posts.
