1/3 loose table, 9 handed
Hero opens TT UTG to 20 (standard sizing from EP, 15 will get 2+ callers on average)
MAWG in MP calls, sitting with $225
Young indian male shoves $106 in the SB, folds back to hero ?

notes on villains:
hero covers both

SB is a likely fish who bought in for $100 and hasn't shown aggression yet pre but has also sat down within the last orbit or so

MP was passive pre and somewhat loose; straightforward postflop. Has not 3bet in ~2hrs of play with Hero

I lean to limp/evaluating OOP, but that's me.

It's a kinda tricky high variance spot, imo. MP sounds like the type to easily be flatting with hands as large as QQ (which is probably "standard" at these steaks, especially if we have a tight image) and although he could easily have other hands we're doing fine against (which he's folding) he's never folding better (so a shove could easily be into the abyss). Shover has a shortstack with big dead money so this could be a lotta stuff (flipping, crushing or crushed). I probably shove and live with results.

Funny you say that. MP did have QQ here. I flatted the $106 fully expecting MP to fold a huge portion of the time but to my surprise he reshoved his $225 stack, leaving me $96 to call and potentially win $500+, so I called knowing I'm likely crushed.

SB had AKo, flop came AQX so flopped virtually dead by both hands in both pots. MP Queens held and he scooped the whole thing.

It's not a surprising result. That's why preflop can be tricky; in the end we got in stacks preflop as a huge dog. Sure, there will be times when we fold out his ~junk and get it in ~ok against the other guy with a little bit of dead money, but we can't afford to run into these spots too often or otherwise they start putting a real dent in things (all in the name of "I haz TT preflop").

Imagine if you opened to $10 like you're supposed to do. You would have lost $10.

This was a spew hand. I'm limping this 100% of the time unless there is a particular table dynamic I'm targeting. And then I fold to ship unless guy is a spewtard.

The game is actually $1/2/3 with $1 on the button, so there's actually $6 dead money preflop as opposed to $4. Should've clarified that. The open size was still too big, but MP could very well have still flatted a $10 open

Oh word. 3 blind games in this spot just a standard stackoff.
