I am in The bb.
My Stack about 300
Fish Stack about 200
1/2
3limpers SB completes
I Check in The BB with K6
Flop: Th6s6h pot:10€
I lead with 5€
2 callers
Turn: Ad
I lead for 10€
Fish Raise to 30€
Hero????

I give him in his Range A6 / 65 / 64 / 67 / 68
The raise scares me a little to reraise and get it in. I know there is a flush draw out but my question is why passive fish don't raise flop. He raised the A like it was maybe a boat.
I am pretty sure he has no draw. This kind of player don't play draws like that.

Playing for stacks here always. He is a fish. Fish don't fold trips. Kick it back to $90. Jam river

Our small bets otf and ott may have provoked a raise from some players. I think we should bet a minimum of 10 otf, and continue to build a big pot ott.
A better description of the villain would be helpful-Is he a calling station or the type to overvalue one pair?

There is no big history: limps a lot / don't raise / checks a lot / folds a lot / that's my impression. Doesn't like to put his chips on the middle without nuts - that are more generative assumption. It wasn't that I saw something like overvalue one pair. But also open limps with 57o for example

He could have had a boat. But look at his range overall, if he's limping a bunch of 6x hands, then most of them are worse than yours.

Lots of people overvalue trips/weak kicker.

Most of the hands that the ace improves like AT, are still behind you.

Once you've thought about his range, the next step is to ask yourself if he plays for stacks in a limped pot with AT or 64. If not, raising the turn would've cost you 50 dollars.

In general if there's a wide range of worse hands (6x/AT) that someone could be value-betting then folding is a mistake.

Some fish don't fold trips, but some of those fish never raise with trips because they slow-play then get scared that they only get action of outkicked or against a boat.

Step one is reviewing past hands in your head to see if he fits the profile of someone who plays that way or if you can rule it out.

Okay this gives us a much better idea of where we are at. Fortunately he will have all kinds of random suited sixes in his range in addition to his combos of AT, so we are ahead of a large portion of his value range. I think we should try to build a big pot against this player in this spot. If we find that we are beat we can just reload.
