1/2 NL , just sat at the table. Saw a couple of hands before I was dealt in.

Would get into a hand with the SB. Older lady sitting on around $175. Saw her donk bet a third 8 on the turn, would then fold when raised on the river. She showed 66 on a board of 4 8 8 8 2

MP and CO limp. All else have folded. Dealt AKo on the button. Raise to $12. SB calls. Everyone else folds.

Flop K 10 4 rainbow, one diamond.

SB checks. Hero bets $20. SB calls.

Turn 8 diamonds. SB bets $20.
This sort of threw me off. I couldn’t figure out what she was wanted to gain by this. Obviously didn’t complete any draws and she was “scared” of a flush draw. But it just seemed odd. I called.

River is 4 of clubs. SB bets $20.
I feel like there’s a good chance we’re beat here. Folding TPTK with 3 to 1 on a call after a brick on the river seems nitty, but what do we beat? KQ isn’t leading out twice.

Anything we should have done differently? What is your river decision?

Snap turn and river.
Sorry you lost

Turn and rivers are best cards for you in the deck. Can never ever fold here

Half the time someone posts a hand like this format OP lost.

You could even consider a value raise but no way im folding. Actually thinking about it now i like a value raise to $80-85, all the straight draws missed and i dont think a player this bad is folding Kx vs our raise and maybe even hero off 10x lol

What are we expecting her to have here that we beat? KQ or air? Not saying it’s wrong I’m just saying for the sake of thinking.

Do you expect her to have a flopped set, K10, 88 at higher than 80% frequency otr?

I guess I’m not expecting her to lead on the turn and river with anything but those hands. But there’s not really another way to play the situation out.

Hell, even if I think I'm beat most of the time I'm going to call the $20 river bet just to see what she has. That river bet makes no sense.

Based on your description of how OLC donks turns, you could very well be ahead here. Seems like she could be the type to donk bet a turned flush draw, then pew-pew bet too small as a bad bluff when she misses the river?

Maybe you chopped?

If she turned a pair + fd (ATdd?), I kinda like her donk turn bet. Still don't have a clue what her river bet means. Your hand looks exactly like AK/KQ but who knows if she's even thinking about that?
