Since we don't have the privilege of a HUD or stats, it's obviously more difficult for us to track our play style.

A "Standard TAG" plays a style with stats of about 22/20/9 (6max) and 18/16/x (Full ring). If you are raising KJo UTG in a full ring game you aren't playing TAG. If you open limp pretty much ever you aren't playing standard TAG. Your image isn't as solid to other regs as you think it is. Just because you look like a reg who plays TAG doesn't necessarily mean players at the table aren't paying attention to how you're playing/what you're showing down and realizing that you aren't.

It is important to know that a very good portion of you aren't playing a "standard TAG" style and you shouldn't label you or your opponents incorrectly as it provides skewed responses from your fellow 2+2ers.

You forgot limp-calling as the ultimate anti-tag move.

There's an excellent book called Beat the Donks that discussed how to profit from people who exhibit these behaviors.

I consider it unlikely that people will start describing themselves as playing a "standard donk style".

By the way the whole premise of the book is that everyone thinks what they're doing is standard and has NO intention of changing.

this is a live strat forum it has nothing to do with online, 6 max, stats or huds. You are trying to combine online with live play which is impossible. Live plays different than online and we have more villain info to go on than just stats. There are much more limping pre opportunities without being labeled as passive.

Not saying certain plays are bad or good. Just saying TAG doesn't mean what people think it means apparently.

If you aren't mixing up your play and trying to fit one "standard" playing style, you're not winning as much as you could be. /thread

We have a "you aren't a TAG" thread already. Thank you though.
