I was down my first $300 buy-in. There was a straddle on for 5 and the player to my right limped so I did as well in the hijack with Jd6d along with the BB. The straddler raised to $15 total. All players call. Flop comes Kd 10h 9d. Checked to raiser and he bets $15(with everyone covered with a stack of $550 or so) who bet $25. The player to my right folded I called with a stack of roughly 290 preflop and the big blind(who had a stack of 300 and was raising anything..ie any ace..suited connectors..small pp's...so he doesnt have QJ or he woulda raised preflop almost defiently) made it 75$ and the straddler called and I pushed..awful?

You mean the play, or your post?

The answer to both is ... pretty much, yes.

lol

I bet if somebody stoved against the villain's calling ranges and took into effect what they'd fold, this wasn't the worst play in the history of poker, but I'm doubtful it's +ev.

I had who was stuck two buyins last week make this same move, which was totally embarrassing for me because I couldn't hold in a girlish giggle when called with AK.
