T9s in CO vs an EP open....flop line? T9s in CO vs an EP open....flop line?

Hello,

I'm new here although not entirely new to live poker. I've been playing for a few years and have a small win rate at 1/2. I would like to begin learning more improving my game while contributing here. Thank you all in advance for any help and I hope to be able to return the favor at some point.

On to the hand:

I'm in the CO with T9s with 158 in my stack. I suspect most will say I should buy in for 100bs and I agree for the most part but I like to buy in for 70bbs for the first hour while I'm getting a feel for the table to make things easier to play. Don't have many reads on villain as sat down recently.

UTG opens to 12. 3 callers ahead of me. I call in the CO and everyone behind folds. 5 players pot is 63.

Flop comes 4c 3c Jd. UTG best 30. Folds to me. Unsure what to do, and with villain folding to my raises earlier, I decide to min raise to 60, knowingly committing myself. I'm sure this is a mistake but would like to hear how you guys recommend I handle this flop.

Again thank you for any help. I look forward to spending a lot of time here and hopefully becoming a useful part of the community!

You have 12 invested... Why would you invest 60 into it/commit your self. You should of shoved or folded. Because if she re rasies I don't see any reason for you to call if he ships and has a J you are basically dead. Best line is to just fold, if you really want just ship it in. Or make it like $120 and just save yourself a couple bucks since it essentially does the same thing.

I assume the T9 is of clubs.

You're only getting 3:1 so I think the best line would be to fold.

If the t9 is not of clubs clear fold. No reason to try to run a bluff especially without reads.

I generally only min raise with strong made hands and when I have seen the villain in the past stubbornly make crying calls.

Are you suited with clubs?

Typically fold this, no need to get yourself committed at this point because v folded to your raises earlier.

Honestly just buy in full and don't over commit as you learn the table. It helps to learn from being in hands, and build an image.

fold pre flop. not deep enough to call pre flop.

Thanks for the responses thus far guys. And yes sorry it was T9cc. Still getting used to using the forum.

As far as why I would want to commit I really just didn't know how best to play the hand and figured if no matter what I was committed I couldn't make that big of a mistake from an odds perspective. Looking back on it it is obviously bad.

I think I agree its a shove or fold, leaning towards fold as villains range looks pretty strong here.

For the guy saying fold pre, seems a little nitty with 4 players already in doesn't it? Saying not deep enough as in I don't have a deep enough stack to draw profitably?

Thanks again

Fwiw XXs is fine, but becomes relevant if a flush draw comes.

2+2 is the nit of nits. Take everything with a grain of salt.
