Strong Exploitive play or did I get lucky? Strong Exploitive play or did I get lucky?

Stack: 500
$2/$2 Best Bet Jax
Current reads -
SB: Standard Reg, competent but not overly sticky. TAG but capable of some bluffs
UTG: very laggy, balances agg/pass. Calls lightly a lot. Has looked me up all almost hands where I’ve bet river for value and have been good.

I have both positions covered

Hand: KQStrong Exploitive play or did I get lucky?
Position: CO

UTG limps
Hero raises $12
Folds to SB: 3! to 35
UTG calls
I call in position

Pot (including rake): 107
Flop: 9Strong Exploitive play or did I get lucky?JStrong Exploitive play or did I get lucky?KStrong Exploitive play or did I get lucky?
SB bets $55
UTG calls
Hero calls

Pot: $272
Turn: 2Strong Exploitive play or did I get lucky?
SB announces “same bet” which I believe to be a sign of weakness on this connected wet board. I’m rarely worried about being behind the UTG here with his loose image.

UTG calls
I jam to exploit the SB’s sign of perceived weakness, isolate the UTG and maximizing my fold equity, while protecting the equity of my hand if I happen to be behind here.

Wouldn’t the pot be much bigger on the river if you started with $500?

I’m all about attacking weak “same bets”, but I think we have too medium-strength of a hand here to do it. I might do it with a draw or AK+, but with KQ I don’t think we’re getting called by worse or often folding out better

I go $15-$20 pre.

I like flatting the 3 bet and calling flop.

Your logic for raising the turn isn't sound...you think he's weak, so why would you raise with a value hand?

I apologize. I thought the result was key in this analysis (even though we don’t want to be results oriented). This was a unique situation I wanted to share.

Same bet means weak frequently, but on his board AA and AK aren’t that strong and could same bet. I don’t mind the shove if you think he might fold those. UTG can definitely call with worse

I guess I never thought about it like that. I don't think there's any way he's folding AA/AK. There definitely are a fair amount of worse hands I expect to call though.

I was looking at it from the perspective of - if he's not strong enough to call a jam, it seems more profitable to let him click buttons again on the river or call a river bet.

The player type who is “same betting” turn with AA and AK to “see where they’re at” are often the type to fold to a big turn jam on this board imo

I am not saying jam is the best play in a vacuum; it’s not. But this might be the situation for it
