10/20 RSD I am on the button w/ AA and 3500, UTG raises to 250 he is usually a tight player but sometimes likes to gamble it up w/ his draws to much, depending on his state of mind I think. An orbit ago he reraised allin my flop bet with combo draw for 150 bb , so I folded my middle pair.

Folded to CO who calls, I raise to 750, UTG calls, CO folds. He's range is here very narrow something like JJ+, I guess, because he perceives me as very tight(even though that is not completely true)

Flop(1700) K J 8 hh

Now, SPR is less then 2 and there is no way I am folding this but isn't this flop just screaming that regarding his range he might have hit the set pretty often?

He checked, I bet just 600, because I think this is wa/wb situation. He quickly reraises me to 1200, now I really reluctantly go all in he snap calls w/ KK.

It was long time ago when I read PNLH and about SPR, but What I came to understand before is if the SPR is really low we don't care about whether someone hit the set or not anymore . Is it like that?

P.S. The Ace did hit on the turn...

I think you are misusing the concept of SPR. I believe the idea behind it is that if you are in a tough decision, the SPR was less than 4 on the flop, you have TP or an OP and you don't know what to do, you should be looking to get your money in. In a simplistic example, assume the villain showed you his cards on the flop after he raised. It becomes a trivial fold, even though the SPR is around 2.

In this case, the pot is 3500 and you have 2150 left. You have to be right about 25% of the time. With a mini-raise at LLSNL, I don't think you'll be good that often. That's going to be a set too often. If he had shoved, I'd be more willing to call.

RSD is the Serbian Dinar, 1 Serbian Dinar = 0.0148 US dollars.

The stakes for this hand is something like $0.25/$0.50.

Thx Venice and others, a similar situation happened last night, but this time I went with the read and folded OP, only to find out that I was semi bluffed,
