You do have to mix your hands up a bit, agree. But when ideal situations come up for hands you can't and shouldn't mix your play up.
Excellent point. Thanks. Agree as posted earlier it would be (and usually is) my choice A. am more interested in my spewy choice B and how best to play it out it in that situation. i.e as played putting the breaks on ott. (+ better bet size planning pre-and on flop)
your only 40bb deep, so raising after a string of limpers with small scs and getting a caller is pretty much going to be a committing play.
even if you call you only have an SPR of about 4 which isn't ideal for scs, but agree that you shouldn't often be folding this pre
I didn't realize the straddle was 5 which imo changes my thoughts of pf being "I don't mind the raise even though it's less than optimal most of the time" to "it's so much worse then limping it's a terrible raise" territory.
