1/3 effective stack is 300

Button is a tough plyer who straddled pre to 10 he will be V1

V2: Asian kid. New to the table bought in for the max for 300 this is his first hand

H: I think V1 respects my game even tho he has position on me (I’m in the cutoff) he hasn’t really been playing hands against me.

OTTH: random dude limps for 10 v2 limps I’m in The cutoff and raise to 45 with AJ off suit button tank calls original limper folds and V2 calls

(145) Flop 5 5 2. v 2 checks I bet 75 V1 folds and V2 tanks and calls.

(295) 10 I go all in

Thoughts?

yup

he already had half his money in, I don't think there was too much FE.

grunch from title alone: yes.

OK, off to read poast.

Post grunch edit. Yes, spew. LLSNL Vs are notorious nonbelievers on paired boards, and v kows there is basically no 5X in your range. You are repping a big overpair, but V is commited with any overpair.

Also, bigger pre. There is $47 in with your call and you only made it $35 more. $55-60, please.

Yeah pretty much everything Garrick said. Also no need to cbet so large. You're never folding a pair and you want to only deny equity so a small bet of like 40 works in that respect.

As played check turn. You have little FE

Since we are only 33 BBs deep here with the straddle I'm not raising AJo pre. I would normally just call here and hope to hit an A or J on the flop. If we get 3! pre we are going to have to fold and we are going to end up in a situation like this too often. I agree that if you are going to open to make it about 60.

I think only being 33 bb deep technically makes it better to raise with AJo. Our commitment decision is trivial if we hit the flop.

Extra extra read all about it! OP spews in straddled pot. 2+2ers are shocked.

I think you're getting called with something like 99 or 88 here. Only getting worse hands to fold imo.

There is a great COTM on c-betting in the sticky titled **Best of LLSNL**

Kudos again to the authors!

Raise to 60 preflop.

As played, flop cbet is fine.

On the turn, I prefer a check for reasons mentioned by others. He has a pair. And we look exactly like someone who just isolated a cple of limpers in position and is barreling away with ace-high.

But I don't have a problem with the line per se. I would prefer this kind of line in the following circumstances:
  • Villain has watched us for a long time we think he thinks we won't bluff in this spot
  • We've seen villain call loose preflop then give up
  • The board was better e.g. Kh8d7d3c
