Ok, this guys range is obviously QQ+ and AK. He's been quiet tonight and I have played with him befoore. I hate AJ in this spot because RIO hand vs his range. Is this ok to fold pre? I HATE HATE HATE minraises at LLSNL games, but can we fold pre, or call since he gives us odds to catchup? Also, if we fold to a simple minraise what does this do to our image? In game I called because I didn't want to seem exploitable, but not sure if I should even be calling since I am folding almost all flops.

BTW, nothing tilts me more than the minraise, particularly preflop...
Do you think Villian will lay down AK on a 10 high flop? Is he passive typically after the flop or will he jam forever on any flop?

A couple of thoughts:

If you want to protect your image you could 4 bet here keeping up your aggressive image, I don't know if flatting with AJ is good here. I also think he could be doing this with a hand like 88 - TT

The min raise preflop in my limited experience smells fishy...alot of "players" like to min raise with monsters to induce a raise...I agree it drives me nuts! Don't let it tilt you though my friend

I'd like to add my small preflop situation since it doesn't seem to warrant it's own thread. Friday night at Borgata 1/2. Hero UTG and has been completely card dead after some early action. Folded A LOT for the past hour and half. 230ish stack from 200 buy in.

UTG+2 on my left is a older guy in his 40's-50's that is short stacked with 45. I got three straights of value from him earlier when I played AK tricky and he called turn and river bets. Seems like a tourney player in town for the series. Hasn't played many hands since AK hand but has just got back from table.

Guy to his left is a older asian guy who a lot of people seem to know including dealers. He is talking about being a chip runner at Chester. Has been talking about playing and busting out of the tourney earlier. He has seemed a slight loser in cash games. Certainly plays too loose.

Hero is UTG and opens to 12 with AQo.

UTG+2 insta-ships for his 45.

UTG+3 insta-calls. Has around 160-180 behind.

Folds around to Hero. Am I calling here and playing heads up? Fold due to RIO and being OOP?
If the other players are AI what does position matter?

fwiw we open to 13 (11$ raise) and he raises to 27 ($14 reraise) so it's not a 3bet.

I think it's a fold. We are talking about a narrow advantage and somewhat difficult decisions if he cbets on a Axx Jxx board.
