Haven't played live for over month and ran into these three hands in the first four hands of my session. Seemed straight forward enough to me but would just like some confirmation.

Table Dynamics - 1/2 300 max early Friday afternoon. Table is filled with people H has seen before in the room, mainly one V H has a ton of history with but not important in the three hands. Stacks vary from 100-800ish. H sits down with 300.

Hand #1 - H is UTG and looks down at KQdd and opens to 10, three callers

Flop (40ish) AcQc4d H bets 15, f, c, c.

Turn (90ish) AcQc4d8h

Hx, v bets 45, c, H folds

Hand #2 H is in BB and has QdQh, MP v makes it 10, one caller, H 3b to 35, only MP calls

(Flop 83ish)
AcJc7d

H bets 25, V calls

Turn (133ish)
AcJc7d10c

H x, V bets 60, H folds

Hand #3

H is in BU, UTG straddle is on to 5, a few limpers for the 5, H goes to 30 with KQcc on the Button, only UTG straddler calls

Flop (75ish)
Jd10h4c

X, H bets 25, c

Turn (125ish)

Jd10h4cKh

x, H bets 40, c

River (200ish)

Jd10h4cKh4s

x, H bets 90 with about 60 behind.

Overall thoughts;

Hand #1 - UTG open first hand in is a little OLL but nothing super egregious imo

Hand #1-3 - the small flop sizes seemed weak and pointless in hindsight, is my thinking solid there - especially in hands #1 & 2 because I'm OOP vs hand #3

3 hands all where you're the preflop aggressor, you cbet 100% and then only bet on the turn when you have it.

Obviously 3 hands is not enough to draw any conclusions, but one of the more obvious tells in low-limit live poker is that raise pre cbet flop check turn is a super weak line, and somewhat competent villains will take advantage of it.

Hand 1 I'd prefer to CR turn as the bet seems weak and it's one of the spots where you will often fold out better and have worse hands call and you have good value blockers.

Hand 2 Bigger pf and check the flop or bet half pot. I don't really like the small bet. As played yeah you have to fold.

Hand 3 I would bet flop half pot instead of the small bet. Rest seems ok.

H1: check flop

H2: raise more pre ($50). check flop.

H3: bet more on the flop. turn can be a mix of bets and checks but I’d lean check in this specific hand.

Hand 1, why are we betting when it is 4 ways and we have second pair? Live 1/2 players love to see flops with a A in their hand. I think I would check, maybe call a small bet. Also, generally my betting size when multiway on the flop is smaller if I choose to bet, specifically 1/4 pot. Turn fold is fine.

Hand 2, our 3bet is too small. Out of position we should go 4x in general, and 5x since there is a cold caller in between. I would go $50 pre. Now that we got it heads up, a flop cbet is fine, but we can also check. The most important thing is that you are consistent with sizings and have at least some balance with your sizings. If you bet $25 with QQ, you probably should be betting $25 with an ace as well. If you check sometimes with QQ, you need to sometimes check strong hands like AK and AA as well. Otherwise your hand strength is very face up. Turn is a standard check fold with no club and nothing but an underpair and gutter on a 3 club board.

Hand 3 preflop is probably okay. I normally go 4x + 1x for each limper in a limped pot, so you could go even more potentially depending on how many limpers. Flop is also okay and turn are fine. You can have JJ, TT, QQ, KK, AA, AQ, the board is great for you and stacks are shallow enough to jam rover after a small turn bet. On the flop, you can range bet this board for 1/3. And it is nice with your particular hand, because you have the option to check turn to get your free card and realize your equity if you choose (when you don't hit on the turn.

On the river I think you have run out of value and I would just check back. You have 75% pot left and you see in position. If you want to bet, jam. If your hand isn't good enough to jam, don't open the betting action back up. Very often when you bet in position on the river for less than half pot it is a mistake. More than half the hands that call you on the river may have you beat, and they can still jam on you when you are pot committed as is, costing you another $60.

H1 - check flop. Your hand doesn't need much protection, if you're not already beat. Too many possible draws that aren't going to fold to your smallish bet. If it checks through, you can make a delayed c-bet on turn.

H2 - 3B bigger pre. At least $50. Other than that, pretty much the same as the above, except I probably wouldn't bet turn either, since a lot of draws got there, and you're losing to a lot of 2P combos.

If you're going to c-bet flop at a high frequency as the PFR, I think we need to follow through by barrelling the turn at a high frequency. C-betting every flop, then checking turn just to fold to a bet on turn or river is just dusting money. Better to keep some powder dry by checking some flops, and waiting to fire on turn.

It's surprising how often people will check it down all the way to the river, and then fold if you breathe on the pot, but those same people refuse to fold when you c-bet, because they read that we should always c-bet as the PFR, so the flop c-bet means nothing.

H3 - Raise bigger pre. At least 3x + 1x for every player who still has cards in front of them. Don't know what to make of your river bet sizing. With $150 left and $200 in the pot, I might just jam for value and hope to get called by Jx.
