don't really know much about this guy other than he seems super snug. I got it in with him a few days ago when he had aces and i had kings preflop. I was planning on snapping any river bet but...

i would definitely not want to fold but it seems best here BUT if you try and get it in on the flop you can either be happy or you can just complain about being coolered all the time like other people.

Fold on river. I think I'd have raised the turn, but not sure what I'd do if he re-raises there.

Given the read, looks like a fold.

man you can't fold sets against a random come on

What do you think he thinks you can call an overshove with?

For me this is an easy call. The overshove looks superstrong, but is a sick bluff imo, his range accoarding to you is 77, 99. Well more like 99 only...

It's not a random, he says he "seems super snug".

Seems like that "super snug" read is based on him having AA vs our KK. Do we have any stats?
IMO, our hand looks kinda like KKish and I would probably call here.

And according to PTR, this guy isn't particularly tight....I dunno if 68 is in his range, but I would suspect that it is not...I'm most worried about a spazzy bluff from 55

Wtf... call. How did you get to the river with so little money in the pot.

Rosa- when are you suggesting a raise? Flop or turn? Perhaps a small-ish turn raise would be best....

Would the people saying "easy call" mind explaining their reasoning? Based on the reads given it seems like villains range consists of 77, 99, and maybe a very badly played AA.

Edit: thanks for the converted HH ranka.

His range also includes a lot of bluffs. We have a set and the only hands that beat us are a set and 86/36

I think that he can easily have A9 here too, which, if included in his range, is more likely than 77/99

Can you expound on the "super snug" comment? I think I'm understanding it differently then the rest of the thread. When I hear "super snug" I think full on NIT. 10/7 ABC is what comes to mind. If that's not your read please say so. But if it is, I don't think that type of player overbets as a bluff, or calls A9 from BB to an ep raise and C/r top pair.

Maybe I'm giving him to much credit, I don't know.

I think a turn raise is pretty much gross. If you are going to play for stacks it should be by 3-betting the flop or calling down.

Everyone is saying fold because of the leading comments in the OP. Obviously if his reason for thinking the guy is tight is only that he ran KK into AA once then that is lol because lets face it this is full ring and it happens every 50 hands.

Putting him on A9 is meh, even if he could have it, thats only 2 combinations of hands and if he's never bluffing its still an easy fold. Putting him on a bluff seems fine though, and if you believe he can have a bluff on the river then obv call.

OP, I find empirically that the flop minraise is a strong but not nut hand that doesn't plan to fold. Just 3-bet the flop.

Oh by the way, I also think the overbet makes it far less likely to be a weaker hand for value. I'd fold this on the river as played even with no reads.

Willie- when i said super snug I just meant that from what i had seen of him he seemed really nitty. Apparently people disagree. I agree with you 100percent renton. I think 3betting the flop is much better than raising the turn. The more and more I think about as played this river is a pretty easy fold.

idk how you not 3bet the flop.
