Should I have played it different? Should I have played it different?

Beating myself up all week, so I figured I'd see if I could have played this hand any better.
Live game....Up about $300 in session coming into hand.

My image at table is a TAG.
Villain's image is LAG, raising regularly and running very well.

Hero has about $600
MP has about $1000
HJ has about $250

Hero, on button, with Qc Qh
Villain in MP.

Villain raises to $12.....been raising regularly, mixing it up well.
HJ calls $12.
Hero, on button, raises to $52.....MP calls....HJ folds.

FLOP: Qd Jd 2c

Villain checks, Hero bets $50.
Villain. raises to $100.
Hero Shoves all-in, Villain takes about 20 seconds and calls.

Villain has 9d Td.

Turn comes 5d, river comes 8c......Villain takes it down, I walk away knowing I'll donk off another re-buy if I buy back in.

My thoughts go back and forth from:
1- That's poker.....I would do it again in same spot. (Probably where my head is at going forward).
2- Pre-flop raise should have been bigger (This seems like hindsight and I don't like this choice.)
3- Slow play flop and lose less than my full stack by check calling down (I hate this option)....and being able to fold river when flush and str8 draws both get there and I do not fill up.

Any comments appreciated.

i think you would be correct to slow down on flop and just see if anything falls on turn...once that flop comes hes not going anywhere

Your play here is fine. You got cooled by a combo draw. It sucks, but it happens. We don't slow down with the nuts because we're worried what might come off on the turn (we also during the hand don't know he has Td9d, for all we know he CR'ed with QJ and we're delighted to quickly get it all in)

You got all your money in with the nuts. Well played.

Villain got all his money in with a combo draw, correctly played as well. In this case a slight dog to a set. A slight favorite to a over-pair.

The cards determined this one, not the play.

You wanted to get someone to try to draw out 9Ts against your QQ and pay for the try. He did.

Next hand.
