1/2NL Local casino.
(Villian1 ($200) is a reg who is a LAG for the most part.

In this hand Hero ($400) UTG with QQ raises to $12. Villian1 who is (UTG +1) says ''go ahead and raise'' before 3betting to $25. Folds around back to Hero who calls. (pot $53).
Flop 9 5 A
Hero checks, villain1 bets $25 about half pot, Hero calls. (pot $103).
Turn A
Hero checks, villian1 bets $30, Hero ??

Your thoughts guys thank you.

Call, check, call. Turned ace makes it much less likely he holds an ace. Checking River to induce another bluff or value bets from pocket pairs JJ and lower

Though if he is betting pot or larger on river Its possible to fold... Anything less and I would call if he is a truly LAG

I would fold flop. Unless he's 3betting crazy wide for a live 1/2 player, then you're way behind his range here, with basically no chance of improving. You beat exactly JJ and TT. You lose to AK, AQ, AA, KK, and 99. Is he 3betting wider than that -- and with that speech?

As played, call turn. The ace is probably the best card in the deck for you, other than a queen.

If you know your villain real well, you might consider a check/raise bluff here. The $30 bet seems weak, and he has some KK that you'll want to get him off. But usually you'll want to just call.

call pre, fold flop.

yes I'm a nit.

when is arrogance and brashness a bluff? to me thats more ego coming out.

I can see calling flop in case he has like KQ or something but if thats the case then I think we need to be ready to make a bet on river to win.

You should either be 4-betting preflop or calling and check folding the flop, depending on how serious you are about this guy being "a LAG for the most part". I'm guessing his 3betting range is pretty snug still, so just call and c/f flop.

If the 3-bettor has any LAG tendencies whatsoever is there any scenario in which we're doing anything but 4-bet to $65 (small enough to make him think we're just trying to push him around but big enough to leave him only one play) and call a shove?

Postflop I fold the flop for the simple reason that there will be better chances to get the LAG's money later.

This last is a really bad way to approach cash games. Unless you have bank roll considerations or are already deep with a fish then there should be no pass it up for a better spot situations in cash. If it's +EV it's +EV. Waiting for a bigger equity edge is just being risk averse and is costing you money. You're not guaranteed to get the next chance.
