Should I fold KK pf and other questions Should I fold KK pf and other questions

One good thing about this forum is that we get a lot of new people joining and posting. They add to our mix of regulars and as a consequence keep the forum fresh and interesting for the most part.

However, one down side of it is that a lot of the identical questions get asked on a regular basis. The title of one of these is one example. What I'd like to do is set up a FAQ with links to threads that people believe covers the subject well in the first 15 or so posts or has a post so good that you don't really need much else. I know most of these already exist (and are linked in the stickies) but I want them to be from this forum. The response PM is always, "But that's from online, my game is different."

The purpose of this thread is to gather a list of these type of questions and suggests on threads/posts that answer it. They'll act much like the win rates and BR thread. The ultimate goal is to put this in the stickies so that when one of these questions comes up, the link can be posted to the right thread so regulars don't have to repeat themselves.

What comes to mind for me are:

Should I fold KK pre?
Should I move up?
I want to go pro, what should I do?

Others?

Small blind play has been discussed in several threads and cAmmAndo, mpethy and I tried to do a study on it, but didn't get very far.

I think this is a good idea in general.

Question: Isn't a vast amount of this information covered in the 'best of' threads, and many of the stickies if people took the time to read them?

So if someone asks a fold KK pf question, you would lock the thread and link them to the sticky?

We'd need one for, I have a set, he called, the flush card came.

You guys will end up naming every common spot, and the most useful to post, if only for to keep sharp. Fat value and very timely big folds mean almost everything in these games.

I feel like every situation is different, and when allowed the freedom to post, it promotes critical thinking, exchange of ideas, and keeps the message board active. Attempting to contain these threads may only serve to stagnate llsnl, which is special in comparison to online sections, since there are live reads, tells, deepstack play, image, location, and so many other various factors that make every live poker situation unique.

Edit: if were only trying to create an index where posters may be guided, but not have their "redundant" thread locked, im all for it

I think all the the items that are likely to be mentioned ITT are covered nicely in the stickies.

A better use of time would be to find a way to force new contributors to actually read the stickies, IMO.

Horses and water, though.

But these threads rarely ever involve those topics, hence this stickie.

Give us few examples of actual threads that would benefit from allowing "freedom" of discussions.

I appreciate the comments. I'll think about whether it is an achievable goal. I agree that everything is in the stickies already. Maybe just letting the repeated questions fall off the front page makes more sense after someone posts, "read the stickies."
