Hi all,

.20/.50 home game. V is young Latino Lag but can play tight too. He has $35. I have $40.

V raises to $2. I call SB with JJ. BB folds. Pot $4.50.

Flop: J-10-4c. I check V bets $3. I call. Pot $10.50.

Turn: 6c. I check V bets $4 I raise $11. V calls. Pot $32.50.

River: 2c. I go all in for $24.

Line ok? I know preflop could be a 3!

Thanks,
DT

Raise a bit bigger on the turn. Or ck/rs the flop to $5, bet $11 ott, and shove the river. You generally just want the river bet to be a bit smaller when you can if you dont want them to fold.

Position is important here, we should 3! a lot.

Call flop, raise turn seems like a good line. We need to raise somewhere to get stacks in.

I think I prefer a 3!/GII pre AINEC. At these small stack sizes he'll stack off pre with AK, and if he has QQ, KK or AA it's just very very very bad luck and that's poker.

The problem with calling out of position is you're so often going to flop an overcard and have no clue where you stand. If you 3-bet to, for example, $12 and he calls, you create a tiny SPR on the flop and put HIM to a difficult decision if an overcard flops and you c-bet.
