lnl200 9max
hero is sb w/ 55 and plays midstack strat
villain is co, does only limp preflop so far
preflop
hj limps 2, v overlimps 2, h completes 2, bb checks
pot 8
flop (4way) T75 mono
h checks, bb and hj check, v overbets 10, h calls 10, bb and hj fold
pot 28
turn 8 or 6 (not sure anymore)
h checks, v bet 18, h x/call 18
pot 64
river 4
h x, v bet 50, h (72 behind) folds
till the river i guess that villain is quite capable of betting 2pairs and top pairs + flushdraw type hands. since i am ahead of his valuerange and have outs to outdraw him if he has the made flush i x/called twice. otr i dont beat anything of his valuerange anymore, because i think that he would only bet str8+ there. his bluffing range is probably not existing, because he just limps preflop and might be passiv postflop as well.

Preflop: Good.
Flop: Bet $8ish. With a bet you can get action from hands like top pair, and force out bad flush and straight draws that will only give you further action if they hit on a later street.
As played after the check, raise to $25ish. By calling you give draws good implied odds to hang around and the raise is small enough that the bettor will still give you action with worse made hands.
Turn: As played, bet $20 and fold to a raise. A passive 1/2 player won't raise as a bluff here, so you can get value from your set with a bet and avoid giving a free card that could really hurt you on a board like this. As played after the check, I like the call.
River: As played, bet $15ish and fold to a raise. Again, I don't think a passive 1/2 player will bluff raise here. A bet gets value from two pair, and if he raises you can safely fold having lost less than you would have if you check/call.
Just my opinion...

I think its difficult to know where you are here because the hand was played so passively. I would rather be doing the betting here. I would probably be betting all streets here. Folding to a raise. AP personally I'm calling the river. Its hard to flop a flush. If he flopped it I'm paying him off. This of course changes if I have any reads on the player to tell me otherwise. If this is someone that never bets without the goods than I would play it differently.

yes, in hindsight i see more merit in betting otf for value and protection.
i would've bet the turn for sure if it goes check around.
thing is that i mainly play online and have not much experience with live poker.
so i rely on basic concepts like "never go broke in a limped pot" and "don't
pay them off", especially when they triple barrel.
he probably has around 60+ value combos on the river (every made flush, some 6x str8
combos (with one spade) and better sets. his bluff candidates are nut- and second
nuts flushdraws, or he turns a weak Tx combo into a bluff. do you have other thoughts
about his range?
i am not sure if this player type finds enough bluffs in this spot, although he has
plenty to choose from.
another argument for calling is that my perceived range might look weak to him. i
also most never have a flush otr. so i am basically top of my range.
