Based upon experience I can say that (“
isolating with T9s in LP is standard”) is not profitable in this case. First we are not in LP but MP and Second, even if we LOL.. be jumping in LP.. we would be raising like the LOL ... “standard” a few limpers that probably be folding and what we get? .. little LOL.. crumbs. No good!
In live, LLNL games, we win money by doubling up or busting people. Anything else makes you fall victim to running card dead and rake+toke on small pots.
In order to win a respectable amount of money we got to play big pots. And that occurrence is approximate 2-3 times per hour. We flop TP with some combo draw plus some “phantom LOL outs” in the bag, a set, have some nut flush draw plus pair, hit our straight...etc. Most of times the big pot we’re looking for does not materialize. The opponent misses gets LOL.. scared and bails out. Or we just miss the flop have nothing to work with while opponent take away the lead from us.
On average of 2 hours we play a big pot and we are ahead every time but LOL... not always win. On rare occasion we lose.
When we go card dead, our draws go in the muck, our AK misses 2 out of 3 times and got no flop texture to use for stealing. Our stack and profits slowly evaporate until we hit our average hourly $$ rate.
If we play TAG this is the usual result, three chances an hour and one big pot every other hour. We can play like a LOL.. expert LAG and based upon a lot of my observation and experience the results will be the same.
So, the T
9
is not a hand we can do a lot of damage from MP. That's an honest opinion based on my vast experience in live Vegas games.
