Hero has V1 covered and in the LJ. Has an image of being somewhat aggressive. This table is mosly older rec players. The best player at the table is a good LAG player and is on dinner break. I feel like i'm the best player at the table at the moment and one player has already commented how he wanted a seat change and openly commented "but I dont want him on my left" referring to me.
The hand starts with 2 limps to me and I look down JJ and I raise to 12. Players behind fold and the limpers call including V1.
Flop (around 35$) comes down 10,8,6r. V1 who acts first donks 25$, other limper folds and its to me. I put in a raise to 75$. V1 calls pretty quickly. (comments on this raise?) I can have all the sets here and also flopped straights and lots of pair+draws and two pairs. My LJ open range does hit the board often. I am pretty sure the V1 doesnt not think at this level though....
Turn (185$) is a 7o completing rainbow. V1 checks. This is not a good card as if he had a 9 he has me beat. I check back. Do i keep betting here? I have a gutshot now and my hand has showdown value? Do I turn this into a bluff or try to get to showdown. I would expect V1 to bet a lot when he hits a straight here.
River (185$) is a J. No flushes came in. V1 checks again. What does hero do here. I cannot see V1 checking a straight as this point. Do I check back or go for value here? He only has around 120$ left. If value betting, do i size down or shove?
I like the flop raise because there are a lot of good turns you can barrel on. V can also have a lot of pair+draws and two pair hands he might fold to multiple barrels.
The turn is th nut worst card in the deck. All the hands in the range you are getting value from on the flop have improved. Nice check back. Jam river.
