Lol, talk about nonsensical.

A) winning doesn’t breed winning in the nfl. It’s the league that has by far the most parody from year to year. Yes, their are a few teams that are perennially good, but outside the top 1-3 teams from each conference, it’s pretty much a **** show from year to year, and even the top teams shift over a 5-8 year period, with the exception of the Patriots, the massive outlier

B) It’s been proven time and time again that teams that are or become a great team by drafting well and assessing/coaching players not by signing free agents. Having one bad season because of injuries is different than the Jets/Jags/Browns/etc who are just run incompetently. So why would I prefer the team I root for to win 6 total games and win the division to get a mid round pick, all while getting bounced from the playoffs in the first playoff game in a probable terrible game, when they could get 5 or 4 wins and get a top 10 pick?

Fact of the matter is the Eagles are having a **** season in part because they’re starting 2 3rd string O-lineman, 2 2nd string O-lineman, and their top WR for a good chunk of the season has been, at best, a number 6 WR on most other teams, while also losing their top 2 TEs and top RB for multiple games each. Wentz, amazingly one of the few players not to get injured, has played like ass, but how much of this is attributed to the above? Idk really, maybe he is ass, but Brady had a pretty pedestrian season last year and he just didn’t have a good couple of receivers, imagine if his o-line was decimated too. And Brady obv can still play, considering his numbers this season are a lot better. Wentz obv isn’t Brady, but I’d like to think he could play better with better players around him rather than a glorified practice squad offense.

Oh wow, you're going all out to make your point by pulling out the hottest buzzwords from over a decade ago. In the NFL, drafting well is important. Drafting high, not so much.

Fact of the matter is I don't give a **** about your eagles. You should probably PM Chip Kelly so the nonsense you wrote about the Eagles reaches someone that gives a damn.

Wentz has locked in some bad habits that are hurting his game. He's always held on to the ball too long, but has combined it with not leaving the pocket on a run due to all the injuries he's had. However, Howie Roseman has got to stop signing and drafting players that are injury prone. Sure the Cowboys have had some injuries this year, but the Eagles over the last 4 years seem like they lose half the team each season.

Alex Smith is hardly "mediocre." Sure, Aaron Rogers is better than Alex Smith. Alex Smith isn't going to the HOF. However over the last 10 years, only 9 teams have played more playoff games than Alex Smith. The majority of teams in the NFL would be thrilled to replace their quarterback with Alex Smith.

Having Rodgers as his QB for so many years concealed just how bad of a coach he is. Give Rodgers even like a 70th percentile coach over that time and I'd bet a lot that he has more than 1 Super Bowl.

I agree with everything you say about the eagles.

Smith had 5 seasons under Andy Reid, easily the 2nd best coach in the league over the past 20 years. He’s won with mediocre talent his entire career being a HC. Now that he has actual talent in Mahomes, they look virtually unstoppable in most games. Smith is a career 200 yds/game passer, that’s pretty much the definition of mediocre. No way “a majority of teams in the nfl would be thrilled to replace their QB with Alex smith”, please name 17 teams that would rather have Alex Smith than their current QB. Teams like the Cowboys and Bengals should include their actual starter, ie Dak and Burrow, not the replacement their dealing with because of injury.

LoL @ armchair quarterbacks referring to a starting NFL quarterback as mediocre. There are so many amazing players that don't even make it to the NFL much less have that sort of longevity in their career.

In general I laugh at people that call professional athletes mediocre or terrible. Although, I suppose I will make exceptions for certain players such as Philadelphia 76ers all-time great who signed the the biggest sports contract in Philadelphia history at the time, the incredible and amazing Shawn Bradley.

McCarthey is a bad coach. Packers dodged a bullet now running out the rest of Rodgers career with McCarthey ****ing it up

Jfc you’re a clown of a troll, it’s obv in relation to the players they’re playing with, not non-athletes who could never play the game. It’s been shown time and time again that end of bench players in pro leagues destroy recreation players in pick up leagues

Nah, you're the type of dude that yells and throws beer cans at the TV because you're so upset at how pathetic "your" players are.

Haha, you could be further from the truth on that.

JOTS is living vicariously through professional athletes to the point that he has deluded himself into think he is on their level or even above them. Reminds me of Stephen A Smith calling various boxers and MMA fighters terrible and bums but then hitting mitts like this:

In traditional sports it's become normalized for talking heads to say athletes suck. That's not the case in MMA though and I do look forward to the time a reporter crosses that line and gets his ass kicked for it.

Including the 49ers, who let him get away.

I like Alex Smith, but I think the "game manager" title is a fair cop. He'll rarely lose you the game though. He's solid, if unspectacular.

Idk if Harbaugh was smart enough to realize when he was figured out so he bailed or if he was really that good and just didn’t feel like dealing with pro athletes, but 44-19-1 (0.695) in 4 seasons has got to be well above average for a HC record.

His 1st season they went 13-3, the prior season was 6-10.

Oh I agree. I’m just not sure any serious viewer should be surprised at how bad he is. But maybe im giving genpop too much credit

My favorite is when FatMike decides to “gamble” and it looks like he is quite literally clicking buttons. That fake punt call yesterday may have been one of the worst play calls I’ve ever seen. Running a fake is pretty meh but whatever. Running a slow developing play on 4th and 9 is just...wow

Jim Rome was making fun of Everett, pretty much calling him a sissy for not being willing to take hits. "Chris" refers to female tennis great Chris Evert, so essentially Rome is questioning Everett's manhood.
