Top ten 80's bands even slim and zoltan may not be familiar with:
In no particular order:
Aimless Device
Clan of Xymox
B-movie
Xmal Deutschland
I Spy
The Northern Pikes
The Stranglers (really bigger in the 70s, but they were ahead of their time)
Nick Kershaw
Romeo Void
Icicle Works
GG may be ahead of slim and zollie on this one, as several come from listening to Canadian Radio, when they had a minimum Canadian content per hour law. (is that still a thing?)
Bonus for most 80s video found while working on this list:
Think I've literally heard of only one band on this list. Pretty sure we still have a rule up here regarding Canadian content.
Northern Pikes "Secrets of The Alibi" was one of the first tapes I ever got and I really got into this and their previous "Big Blue Sky", although they did start losing me just a little by "Snow In June" (and their biggest hit "She Ain't Pretty" which was by far my least fave song). ETA: For some reason I recently Googled them and apparently they're still somewhat around, in the 2000s replacing a long time member with a member from another fave 80s Canadian band The Grapes of Wrath.
Kinda weird thinking back on how I once collected music by band + album whereas now it is just a complete scattershot mess of whether a random song goes onto my iPod.

Hello. I would like to appeal my infraction that I received from the mod named "Gark" in this thread.
Can that mod or another mod direct me to the proper place to discuss the merits of the infraction if this thread is not appropriate.
Thank you.

Hey Spyu. I appreciate your post and understand its coming from a place of attempted humor but I would prefer if my name wasn't associated with the basketball thing or jokingly implied that I destroy puppies.
I actually lost money on the basketball bet and I very much love dogs. Thank you.

Hey thank you for the timely response, it's much appreciated despite our differences.
I see that forum, but I dont see any threads in regards to moderation. Is the proper procedure for appeals to start an entirely new thread? I would prefer not to PM Mat Sklansky if at all possible. Thank you in advance.
Although I attempted to resign as president it did not take. I will do my personal best to wield all of my presidential powers in order to issue you a pardon for all of your transgressions against this thread. I wish you and your custom las vegas house all of the best.

Dearest Squid Face,
Thank you very much for your continued support. You are the person in the thread I've known the longest and easily have the most respect for. I've learned a lot from you based on our interactions both virtually and in real life. Your advice has certainly shaped me into the poker player and man I am today. Your respect was earned, not demanded and for that I'm lucky to have you as a friend.

I am not entirely sure either, especially considering I have been infracted for trolling before, but I received 3x the amount of points as my previous ones!
I am hoping to find the answer to this question soon, which is why I am politely pursuing my options.
Myself (and others) are looking forward to moving passed the drama here and getting back to freely posting some stuff with my friends without fear of reprimand.

Generally speaking, each mod complaint gets a new thread unless there is a rash of them that keep getting added to an active thread. If you'd prefer to add to an existing thread about LLSNL moderation, you can find one here.
