Appreciate that. It’s a bunch of reasons. Most spots are actually pretty straightforward and one of the quality posters in there usually already covers most of what I think. Or somebody posts something that is clearly wrong and I want to correct them, but then I start to think that the responsibility is on them to learn some basic theory instead of assuming that they know the answer without any proper work on their own. Usually they’ll just get annoyed that you say they’re off in their thinking anyway, so it becomes a pointless exercise.
I am glad that i’ve used the LLSNL strat threads, but most of the things that I learn now are from other sources or from mathing spots on my own. Shoutout and thanks to Spyu for being a dependable source is solid information. Amanaplan helped me quite a lot as well, but I don’t think he posts much anymore.
I also might be doing something soon where I actually wouldn’t be able to post in strat threads, and I’m also going to be approaching some spots in a way that wouldn’t really be applicable to live 1/2 or 2/5 games, and could actually hurt some people’s game if they applied my advice. I’m experimenting a lot lately with strange plays.
Cliffs: there is a handful of solid posters who will give better information for the games most posters will be playing, and I’m going to be approaching hand analysis from an online perspective for the foreseeable future. Also going to be putting in a ton of lab work and focus 100% on my own game.
Cliffs pt.2: most $ in live is population exploits, where online it seems to be having a solid theory understanding, but then using a game tree strategy that most players haven’t studied, so you put players in spots that they aren’t used to at all which encourages mistakes.
