I was in a Hippodrome £1/2 game at 4am when somebody turns up wanting to play the biggest game possible and has over 20k in chips. We tried to turn the game into a 1/2 deep or 2/5 to get around the buyin limit (50% of max stack at Hippo which meant he could sit with roughly £750 iirc) and one old rec refused to change the game, despite the fact it would have absolutely no bearing on his ~£50 stack. Since then, said fun player moved over to the PLO games and was by all accounts one of the biggest spots whenever he played and was content to dump thousands per night, at least a few nights per week.
The worst part of this was that there were 2/3 other normal 1/2 games with seats available that the rec could have moved over to if he didn't want to play higher stakes.
