curious how a Peloton's convenience stacks up next to other stationary bikes.

week 6 lost 23-17 @ Baltimore
week 11 lost 17-10 @ Oakland
week 12 lost 16-10 vs Pittsburgh

Jets have lost 1 game by less than 1 possession, week 1 vs buffalo 17-16. all their losses are by an average of over 2 TDs: 26.4 against vs 9.8 for

despite the Bengals having 11 losses, they are playing closer games in their loses than the Jets: 26.5 against vs 14.3 for

including all games, Bengals really aren't much worse overall than the Jets
Jets average 17 ppg and allow 23.3 ppg
Bengals average 14.9 ppg and allow 24.8 ppg

Don’t care that they’re 0-6 in close games. At least 4 of those have garbage time points to make it look better.

The Bengals are BAD. PFF says so as well.

IDK. But it's a very well made bike at least compared to some of the commercial grade bikes I've been on. Some of the lower price point bikes are pieces of ****. Even in the store they look like they won't last long

Classes are good with a good bit of variety. I'm generally pleased with it

Peloton is laughably terrible. The company is yet another one of those startups, like Uber or WeWork, whose business model seems to be "VCs are suckers; let's rook them for as much as we can."

lol, literally none of them have garbage time points

week 1 @ Seattle: scored a FG with 7 minutes remaining to be down 20-21
week 3 @ Buffalo: leading 17-14 with 4:54 remaining, Buffalo scored at 1:50
week 5 vs Cardinals: Bengals scored a TD with 2 minutes remaining to tie it as 23-23. Arizona kicked a FG as time expired
week 6 @ Ravens: scored with 1:28 remaining to make it 17-23. this is literally the closest example but 1:28 and down 6 points is not garbage time.
week 11 @ Raiders: scored in the 3rd to make it 10-14. Raiders tacked on a FG in the 4th for a final 17-10
week 12 vs Steelers: scored in 3rd to make it 10-10. Steelers kicked 2 FGs in the 4th for a 16-10 final.

the garbage time points you're probably thinking of:
Week 2 vs 49ers: scored TD with 45 seconds left to lose 41-17
week 7 vs Jags: scored TD with 23 seconds left to make it 27-17
Week 10 vs Ravens scored FG with 2:29 left to lose 49-13

Its barely a step above the juicero. Take an already common product, connect it to the internet, then run off into the desert with the vc money.

Couldn't imagine I would enjoy a peloton, I don't like using my indoor trainer as it is...super boring for longer distance rides. I use zwift and am still not a huge fan.

I wouldn't buy the stock as I don't see a wide enough mote for them but they have virtually nothing in common with Uber and WeWork other than a high public valuation.

Also the common thread of a lot of these unicorns is:

Disastrous Financials

so the bike itself is 2k+
then u got to pay for a subscription to watch videos?
at 40 bux per month?!!

the 40 per seems quite lol. Is it a custom thing? This recurring 40 seems steep especially for getting me to do something that needs minimal coaching

please tell me what i am missing

Yeah that $40/mo is something that was priced by people who are seriously out of touch with reality. Just looking at projections to make their investors and C suites happy.

Especially considering no streaming service is even close to that. And that's stuff people actually want to watch on a daily.

outside the thing sitting in a side room gathering dust while the owner continues to pay 40/month, i think you got everything.

Of course. It is an unnecessary luxury item.

I suppose you could cancel the monthly and just use it as "normal" stationary bike.

TBF the wife belonged to a yoga studio before we got the bike that she no longer belongs to. The monthly there was more than the Peloton monthly. She now takes the yoga classes through Peloton (although she does go to the studio with friends or w/e once a month or so and pays the $10 guest fee or whatever it is)

I was actually thinking it would be a semi-interesting idea to simply go thru our iPods / whatever and name our like top x songs of the last 10 years (limited to like 1 per group) just to have some lists to start exploring.

But in the end probably a waste of time given everyone's different tastes.

I don't really purchase albums any more (apart from like maybe 2 artists). For me it's now all about randomly discovering a song by whoever from whenever and putting it on my iPod.

ETA: Think G's line is a pretty good one (and I'd also take the under), but we'll see!

Dunno.

Sell quality trainer for 2k (actually lower cost than comerricial units)

Get monthly subsc ty iption without having to carry all that excess inventory, real estate, workers (yes th were y have some footprint)

leverage their onsite trainer costs by streaming to the subscribers.

Be a first mover add Slick marketing

Seems genius... moat isnt nearly wide enough, and other issues, but live remote coaching has value for many..
