The only sport that actually matters is still going on. UFC. Had an event tonight and have 4 more events in the next month or so capped off by the most anticipated fight in UFC history: Khabib vs Tony which has already been cancelled 4 times previously. Coronavirus is doing its damndest to try to cancel it again.

The Fed's primary role here will be keeping credit markets functioning and being the lender of last resort.

The interest rate cuts will reduce the interest on the government debt issued to pay for any upcoming stimulus packages.

Pretty sure Powell and company were not expecting a stock market pop on this cut. Everything done now is about keeping things moving 3 months from now (and providing liquidity to get things moving for some industries).
