So naturally I'm thinking Why aren't flights&hotels dirt cheap now?
Denver to Vegas seems pretty cheap right now:

I've had on and off shortness of breath the fast few days (first time in my life). I guess it's not coronavirus but maybe I'm more susceptible to dying from coronavirus. Not sure really.

Maybe you should stay away from old people and hopefully you yourself are not old.

You in a hot spot?

I think my chances of having it are low but I'm going to stay in next few days and see if a fever happens. Was going to travel again tomorrow to see parents and newborn nephew. Not gonna do that now. Better safe than sorry. I love my olds.

I'm young and never smoker. Haven't seen asthma history as a risk factor.

Chances are most of us are going to get it by end of the year anyways...

No, not a hot spot for coronavirus (hot spot in that it will be 87 degrees tomorrow though) but I did play poker the last few days and that poker room is a cesspool of disease.

The one dumbass cultist responsible for thousands of cases in Korea could easily be any one of the countless degen regs you'll find in a poker room. So often when I would play live, there would be at least one person in the room who was obviously sick but still playing. They were not professionals, they were not even winning. They did not have to be there. They had an addiction and they were willing to put others at risk because of it.

Anyway, I'm leaving for Canada in five days. Hopefully nothing drastic happens before then.

6-7 extra wins is a cy young + mvp type season

not saying he's not capable of that, just that's an incredibly optimistic projection that ignores his downside and discounts the chance he has a "good but not best pitcher in all of baseball" type of season

I mean he IS the best pitcher in baseball, so it's not that optimistic.

hey guys, didn't want to pollute this thread with corona

i've been living through it past few months - I heavily advise you to take all necessary precautions of social isolation when feasible and OCDish hand washing/purell

China wouldn't shut down the entire country for months and going on indefinitely on a whim nor is it something they did in the past as they basically went on business as usual for prior outbreaks like SARs, their reaction to this is orders of magnitude more severe

i have full faith we'll beat it, but it's quite clear nobody is acting until it's staring them in the face so I'll advise people to avoid crowds, stay at home as much as possible, don't eat food you didn't prepare yourself, stay away from olds that you love, and wash those hands like they are lynda carter and you're a 14 year old fw

my parents were about to go on vacation to florida and i talked them out of it - ithe real danger of this disease is that more people get sick than can be treated at a time so hospitals are forced to pick and choose who will live and who will let their lungs fill up with liquid and die - if you're an old or your olds are in a region with lots of other olds then if possible relocate them to a place with more millenials, they'll hate the asslicking conversations they'll be forced to endure but guys like rtp and 67o are the kind that get corona and didn't even realize they were sick and don't take that bed/respirator your old needs to survive for 2 weeks in ICU

fair enough, definitely possible, but he's not exactly replacing a total scrub and people tend to ignore that if not him it'd still be a fairly competent pitcher

With Severino gone for the year and Paxton injured as well, I think if they didn't have Cole those replacement innings would be highly questionable. He's hugely important to them right now.

Crazy to think that only 10 days ago you could get 12-1 on the wsop being cancelled

Try to stay positive... you'll need your strength for the hysteria yet to come.

Even on the cruise ships, fewer than 20% of the people tested positive.
