Anyone ever encountered material on a limp reraise base strategy? Just saw someone do it today and it was unusual, so just curious if anyone has seen anything from a training site or something.

Ie dude limped whole range and limp RR (large) with everything from mid pockets to suited aces (that I saw). He proceeded to be super aggressive on flops and turns generally.

200bb live 2/5 game.

I play a lot like this. Although I'm definitely not limping my whole range and a lot of adjustments on the fly. I'm very loose and fairly passive pre.

I did see a video advocating this type of style a bit ago on YT althoughI don't think it's very applicable to playing live. But here's the link:

I doubt you're going to find any training material when it comes to something like this. It's kind of something I've just developed over time and I think it's pretty specific to the games that I play.

Pretty standard in Macau, floor never liked it but it was tolerated

It does however give me pot odds to call to get trips, two pair or either runner runner and I'm in position so I call. Turn is a 5, bingo. Dude leads out and I grab a small chip and put on top of a 10k chip and toss em in, this puts him all in and he tank calls. I table my hand, he looks furious, river is a blank and he's just sitting there in dosbelief holding his cards. Dealer eventually needs to ask him for the cards so he can deal next hand and he rips them in half tosses them in the middle of the table. If only he'd done that earlier his Kings could have played as quads.

Seems like that would leave him 3betting far too wide and you could exploit it by light 4betting. Not sure what sizing you should use though, 200bb effective and a large 3b size would leave you in a tricky spot (let's say it goes limp/limp/30, he l/rr to say 130, hard to 4b/fold but you're too deep to jam. Guess you could minraise to 230. Not a bad thing that he has to call with everything if his range includes mid pockets and a lot of weak aces.)

maybe slowplay your aa/kk/some ak too if he wants to be aggro post

Interesting strategy though. I could see it being effective if people can't figure out how to adjust to it. Ain't nobody 4betting light.

Step 1- take an ambien
Step 2- limp from all positions
Step 3- reraise
Step 4- eat a bunch of ice cream
Step 5- drive your car through a building
Step 6- wake up rested

That's certainly one way to approach the problem of balancing a limp/reraising rage.

Key things to determine about this player: How do they deal with being four-bet? If they can fold, then polarize, remembering to include blockers to the big hands in your 4-bet bluffing range. But if they make the standard mistake of calling, then go linear, and put them in bad situations on the flop with range and nut advantage.

I've always been too scared to try the white lady because I have an addictive personality.

Like I can't stop eating a bag of beef jerky once I start. So I can't imagine what I'd be like with drugs that make you feel awesome.

That’s because beef jerky is bagged for 1 sitting. Regardless how much is bagged.

I’m lucky that I don’t have one I guess - have had hundreds of class A drug occasions and never felt any physical cravings/need outside of when I’m back in that social situation again

I do know people that get very attached to coke and it is very ‘more-ish’ in the moment but that isn’t my drug of choice anyway - ecstasy and mdma suit me way better and it’s be almost impossible to get addicted to them I’d think

Same. It takes like 2x the amount of drugs to feel anything as well so it’d be real expensive for me to get addicted to something. Mdma and x I think would be hard to get addicted to. It’s my favorite by far but anytime I’m coming down from it I just feel so physically and mentally exhausted. Would be tough to do all the time I think.

I will say though, I am probably addicted to the internet.

Any reason why Ecstasy and MDMA are not particularly addictive?

I've always wanted to try adderall, but haven't for the same reasons.

I have a hard enough time regulating caffeine haha.

I will say though that I can't relate to alcoholics. I can have a drink whenever, but then go however long without. There's 0 addiction quality for me.

If I knew it would be that way for coke I would definitely give it a try.
