Jesse’s game?

Springs poker is good for the roll.

No, different folks. Most action (not that normal nights aren’t good) I’ve seen in a bit- reminds me of the old days.

I’m starting the transition to playing with no “bankroll”—just withdrew $300 and put it in the $1-$2 table, no cash in reserves for these last two sessions.

Starting to see why everyone rolled their eyes at my crazy bluffs and 3-betting 87s to keep my ranges polar, and all that ****. You really can just nit it up and turn a profit just by waiting for other people to be stupid!

Super rare fun day on the hill. Its howlin SW before a storm is approaching. Mountain said lifts would be impacted. So we go and ski a protcted area on the canyons side called sun peak. All 3 access point lifts around it got closed. So once you left the area that sunpeak serviced you had to go to the base and could not return By the time we were done skiing there were 5 others skiing with us in our private mini ski resort.

I drove a Ferrari F8 Tributo today. Was a ton of fun. I had no idea how involved driving well on a track was. Lots of acceleration, up shift, up shift, into hard breaking, down shift, down shift, and then full gas. Rinse and repeat. Hit 130mph on the straight away, which was something else. Unfortunately, it was over by the time I truly got the hang of it. But it's definitely worth doing again.

Nice.

For me, this is a car that's too fast to enjoy on the street.

How many laps did you get? 3?

Best hand I've played recently, and my thoughts during it:

$5/5 6-handed

Hero opens 65 UTG to $20. Button calls. BB calls.

This open is slightly loose, but these donkeys don't 3-bet enough and we play better than they do post-flop, so whatever.

Flop AJ8 (pot $65)

BB checks. Hero checks. Button bets $30. BB folds. Hero calls.

Pretty standard check here. We shouldn't bet every flush draw, and this one makes sense to check and possibly bluff later. Once button bets and BB folds we can call closing the action. If BB had called we would fold, as we don't want to draw to this multi-way.

Turn K (pot $125)

Hero checks. Button bets $60. Hero calls.

We hit, but our hand is basically a really good bluff catcher and villain is repping a stronger hand or a bluff. We just call down here, as we don't really care about anything other than a 4th .

River K (pot $245)

Hero checks. Button bets $40. Hero?

What is this $40 garbage? We were going to call down, but this bet looks to me like villain was bluffing with something like KQ, hit trips, and now is trying to get cute by betting $40 because he doesn't think his hand is worth more than that. We're going to punish this sucker for making a bad bet.

Hero raises to $150. Button is all-in for $300. Hero?

Oops, he 3-bet jammed on us, I guess we fold? Who bluffs like this? Nah, I'm still not buying that villain actually has KJ and decided to just bet $40 on the river. This still looks really FOS.

Hero calls. Villain says "flush is good" and tables KQo. LOL ship it.

This sounds really fun. I would be interested in the video, if there is any.

If I’m ever thinking about folding KK pre for 100bb or less, it’s time to go home.

Best hand I played recently

I’m utg and raise 2.5x with AA
I get 3b
Someone 4b
Someone 5b shoves
I am covered and call
3b folds
4b calls it off

We triple up and made zero real decisions

We did 7 laps, but 10 would have been better or at least doing their warm-up offer. By the time I got the hang of it and learned to "trust" the car, it was over. Yeah, it was very fast and handled very well.

I folded KK preflop about a week and a half ago. I was playing a double-or-nothing 6max sit-and-go on Ignition -- basically a cash version of a satellite, and it was on the bubble, and I had the second largest stack with a near-lock on finishing in the money. One of the shorties open-jammed, and the big stack was in the big blind.

Yeah, you can nit it up and play 88+, AQs+, AKo and wait for them to be stupid and make money. But if you throw in all the suited aces, pocket pairs down to 66 (all of them in steal position), suited connectors down to, like, 76s or 65s, and the suited broadways, you won't have to wait as long and you will make more money.

I've had two troops whose cars were stolen, and both were recovered still drivable, but one had a couple of new dents, and the other reeked of pot and had some sketchy trash in it.

The remainder

I am not buying the teens joyriding theory because they went into a crowded apt complex parking lot (no cameras ofc) and picked my still_not_nicknamed Hyundai Santa Fe Sport out of 200.

Very sorry to hear, DMW. That is the absolute worst.

It from the "easily hotwireable" year group (2013-2018, for the Sante Fe Sport, as I understand it)?

If so, seeking your specific car out doesn't make joyriders less likely, but rather maybe even more. There was even a social media buzz about stealing those models last year.
