Venetian question

Will be there this weekend for the U2 sphere deal. Is the gym at V a daily fee thing? Is this over an above the daily activity fee or whatever bullshit they've cooked up?

I don't know whether or not he still posts, but he was fired as a moderator.

I have played my last hand of poker. Lost the last of my $2,000 bankroll today (as it was not enough to salvage a downswing).

Oh well. Now I REALLY need a new job!

Good luck with finding a role and with making ends meet in the mean time

sorry to hear that, perhaps your adopted dad can help you carve out a career in the military?

Sorry to hear, davo. 10BI roll while playing semi pro just sounds more stressful than I can imagine, especially playing a river-bluff heavy style. I hope things turn around for you soon.

Thank you. Interest rates are going down, and I’m starting to see more job postings for mortgage closers every day—I am optimistic that I will be back among the full-time employed soon.

My final hand was a CLASSIC though:

I start with just $140, my last $140, after a terrible River call (I bluff-caught with second but surprisingly they weren’t bluffing). Very next hand, I have AK, open to $102, and everyone folds.

Next hand I put on the $4 UTG Straddle. Folds to the SB who calls the $4. BB call the $4. I raise to $104. SB folds. BB now check-raises all-in and I call off my last $50, figuring I need to spike a 3-outer.

BOARD: 73KJQ

I table my A7 not really liking my chances, lol.

And I did lose but not the way I thought. For the BB tables….Q7, haha.

you had 140 left to your name and make an utg straddle and then shove with A7o?

jfc man, going busto is the best possible result for you - would have been way worse had you won the hand because then you'd still be chasing this dream

I'm not sure if this is the best Brit Pop record ever (it is) but man it is banger after banger still all these years later...iPod has to have Bittersweet Symphony right?

But this is the best song IMO

A rare Slim music take I am in alignment with. Although I have this album behind What’s the Story and Different Class in the 90s Britpop rankings

I once sang Lucky Man in front of an audience with my buddy playing guitar

Fortunately before camera phones were a thing

ozzies are weird in music

i knew a bunch in china who lost their collectives marbles when they discovered "rivers of babylon" was available on the karaoke machine and they all went nuts on it, calling it an australian classic

decades later i learn it wasn't the soft folk song the way they sung it, nor even australian

Always assumed it was Jimmy Cliff's song. From the Harder They Come (not pr0n) soundtrack.

I was a Brit at the time and still am musically, given I’m basically house music til I die, ably supported by the big Brit mega artists of the 60s and 70s
