I handle the cooking, but if you feel the need to contribute we need some some dicks sucked.

Not an event, just a gathering spot for car people on a mountain road.

i immediately was like woah, this is a really cool woman with a hilarious sense of humor- and deep down behind that metaphorical joke lays some real pragmatism that there are times there are things you just don't want to do and it sucks to do but everything is better off if you just suck it up and do it

we bonded immediately, hung out all the time

later on i discovered she wasn't speaking in pure metaphors, that she indeed had sucked many a dick because it either advanced her career or improved her grades and academic standing - this had been a great success as a somewhat intelligent and attractive young woman had now attended the most prestigious schools with the most glowing recommendations and introductions and high level jobs at big companies as she sought out influential dicks since high school

yet when i learned that she wasn't talking about the act of dick sucking abstractly - but rather was literally suggesting that i should go and suck some dick like she did, i lost all respect for her and our relationship withered as a result because i no longer saw her as the funny and witty and strongly independent person who just got it and would joke around with locker talk - instead i just saw a dick sucker

i often think about this dynamic, how when it was intangible and abstract with a go getter attitude it was something a genuinely admired but when i found out that it existed in the real world i was repulsed

the caulksuckers paradox
Interesting story.

There are still these little areas of life that go on behind closed doors and we can't really know much about them. How common is this? We can only guess. I'm sure it's a lot less common now, as a lot of guys would be afraid of getting in trouble, even if the woman initiated it.

Some of my older female friends talked about it once and they both had stories of male supervisors asking them for sexual favors in exchange for preferential treatment.

About 10 years ago, one of my friends found some girl on craigslist offering a BJ for concert tickets. Radiohead I think it was. She got his tickets. Said she was decent looking too.

yeah she only talked about it because she was on the spectrum and didn't fully grasp the implications of disclosing that

she banged an admin in high school - he helped her get into stanford via his connections

banged a professor at stanford - he helped elevate her as a top student choosing her for prestigious things at his discretion

banged founder of uber - he gave her a good job right out of college

banged a billionaire vc investor - he placed her at a prominent job at one of the tech companies he invested in - this is how we met

but yeah had she never spoke about this stuff, i would have never assumed any of it - so i often wonder about whether this happens more often than i'm aware of and most women are too ashamed enough or aware enough to never disclose that

like that vc she banged, ever single time i've ever seen that guy he's surrounded by young attractive women in their 20s and i've checked up on the women whose name i knew over the years and literally all of them have really good jobs right now

another thing i often think about is how many housewives today were strippers or whores before settling down and getting married and what percentage of their husbands are aware

like just doing the math - seeing how there's prostitutes everywhere and yet you never meet a retired whore because at some point they all shed that life

this was more a thing in asia where an insanely high proportion of attractive young women became escorts or mistresses - i'd have female colleague working low level jobs quit because they were now going to be a mistress of some banker who was going to take care of her rent and give her a monthly retainer - and other women at the office would be jealous or happy for her

and there's no future in that, the banker has his wife and family so at some point she's going to have to start a life with another man

Took the kid out and met up with Turtle for some runs. Kid rode hard, took some very hard spills, but kept getting up. Hit his first box and cleared it … just didn’t stick the landing. He amazes me every time we go out.

Winter has entered our neck of the woods with a wimper. We are still experiencing a single white ribbon of death on both the Pc side and on the Canyons side.

SPC is considering riding in this event

https://bikepacking.com/event/great-...eel-race-2024/

it will help her get some hours in the saddle for the big event in nov 2024. I am not a biker but my understanding is she needs to spend an absolute shitload of time in zone 2 to prep for the 24 hr time trial. So this event dovetails nicely with that

So we are heading to las vegas while the skiing is non existant so she can get some quality rides in. During the day I will be a lone wolf wolfpack searching the desert for cocaine and stripperz. If anyall are in town looking for trouble - hit me up

Yeah I’m not an enduro guy but I spent a lot of time researching heart zone training for building my base to improve my 2k time. And mega amounts of zone 2 stuff is the way to go, along with 2 interval/anaerobic threshold sessions a week to improve speed.

Really boring doing that on the erg, treadmill, indoor bike etc but prolly more enjoyable doing it outside in nice scenery

then just ensuring her muscles and joints can hold up. My brother has run the Leadville 100 mile race 4 times and the two times he pulled out it was Achilles and knee issues, not conditioning that stopped him

I dont mind zone 2 on the bike trainer. I throw on some TV, and time flies fairly quickly.

The erg in zone 2, on the other hand, is very difficult for me. Feels like I'm not doing anything and time just drags. My splits in zone 2 are well over 30 seconds slower when compared with my 5k split.

WPT Global emailed me to say I had 100 free $1 spins on one of their slots that was about to expire.

OK for the LOLs... let's do this.

Hit a good bonus and ended up winning $317.50.

No restrictions? CASH OUT! Thanks WPT Global!

I bill by the hour, not contingency. Client is into me for mid 5 on this case. very, very reasonable fee for this guy. The damages award is less important because in theory at least we can sell the licenses.

question for you lawyers

if someone comes to you with a case that you think is unlikely to win or even just kind of dumb - like an inheritance squabble that will lead to no substantial changes but rack up a lot of billable hours for lawyers of both sides

is the lawyer legally obligated to say "this will be difficult to win and seems rather pointless"

furthermore are they allowed to stretch the truth and even advocate they believe they have a solid case and a just cause even if that wasn't their true feeling

i'm of the belief that a rural lawyer may not have the most steady income coming in and will be of a mind to say what the potential client wants to hear in order to capture them as a client

others are of the belief that a lawyer would never do such a thing - it'd be like a doctor prescribing medicine that isn't needed and they wouldn't tell a potential client that their cause was just and they had a strong case if that weren't the case

IANAL, and definitely not one admitted to the bar in Maine, but from what I can see from a quick google search, it definitely happens, even if it is not considered ethical.

Lying to clients is definitely not universally forbidden and sanctionable, especially ones with whom the lawyer does not yet have a privileged relationship, AFAICT.

Last edited by Garick; 11-27-2023 at 07:51 PM. Reason: This sounds like the same kind of people who think that police are not allowed to lie...

I’ll tell a client that their case is bad. I’ll tell them that they’ll spend more money on fees than they’re likely to recover.

If someone insists on proceeding anyway who am I to stop them? It is not my money, and I can advise as to the risks but it’s not the lawyers job to decide.

I think the value of showing that the opponent is wrong is often more valuable that the actual monetary reward.

Yeah I get that a lot: “I’d rather pay you than pay him” ok well he says you owe $30k and it’s gonna cost $50k-150k to take this to a judgment, what do?
