Ashley still plays poker....or at least he did pre Covid. I think he still lives in Perth and yep, he's still active in Sporting Events.

I will share some annoying news.

Slipped on the stairs yesterday and broke a metatarsal bone in my foot. Currently in a boot and very difficult to put any weight on it.

Depressing news for a few reasons...primarily I love exercising and am super active. We're in lockdown and it's honestly the only pleasure I really get - I've done an hour walk each day for the past 18 months and I train 6 days per week.

Then also, I've been specifically targetting three potential events in my chosen current sport of Indoor Rowing. State championships in 5 weeks time, Pan Pacific Masters Games in 11 weeks and National champs in about 14 weeks. I'm hopeful that if the bone doesn't require surgery (I'll find this out in a week) that I might be able to restart training in a few weeks and just manage the pain, but right now it's all rather depressing.

Very sorry to hear, feely. Foot injuries suck. They take an annoyingly long time to heal, and everything seems to aggravate them.

Best theories on how Feely actually injured his foot?

Got a call today that my 26 year old cousin was found dead in her room this morning. Kinda shitty day from there on.

JOTs I feel terribly for you. I hope it wasn't suicide.

FW I have a sharp localized stabbing pain in the middle of my foot. When it came up Saturday I was 100% sure I would find a rock or splinter there. But there is nothing except a tiny skin peel. I soaked my foot but no splinter appeared.

@feely we don’t believe so. She had fallen the other day and hit her head. We think it had something to do with that, but because of the circumstances they’re going to do an autopsy to rule out suicide.
