No fee index fund mimicking SP500 is prob the best way to go.
Mutual funds are scams due to the expenses
Hedge funds are even bigger scams as they have larger expenses
Bankrate.com has some cool calculators to play with. I also find it interesting to look at how the interest and principal change during the life of a loan
