I really hate Christmas shopping. As everyone I know gets older, they don't need a damned thing, and don't really want more stuff cluttering up their houses.

The prevailing gift exchange expectation is nuts. Once I realized that tons of people feel the same way I stopped with the whole charade and would just say straight up to anyone I used to exchange with "we don't need to exchange gifts anymore right?". Almost everyone is relieved.

I don't shop for any adults except for my nieces and nephews who are just starting out. My siblings and I also do something every year for my mom as a group gift. Sometimes a charitable donation and other times something we think she needs but doesn't realize it (aging relatives who still insist on being dependent can be easy to buy for sometimes).
I do give a small gift to a neighbor who watches my place when I am gone but that's just a gift card and some candy/liquor. My secretary gets a gift card and candy.
granted its early season with not much snow but they are changing capacity restrictions.
I cant remember the specifics of brecks lease but I know a lot of resorts must close by mid apr.
Yeah like I'm also open to not skiing at all and any sort of anniversary ideas. I'm hoping we will have some form of vaccine available by then but it is what it is. Colorado was my top choice because I can drive and I'm down to just go to a national park and hike and ****.
Great hotels with views / food service etc.... I just really don't want to spend that day inside in my house and want to do something safe outside.
Feelie thanks, remember when you gave me good advice about a corporate job process 8 years ago? I wear the pants now!
look like the institution
read a few articles on what they do
barely hide the spike up your arse

I hate it, but I also hate when they give me an Xmas list that's nothing but amazon links. Why don't I just wrap up cash a bank transfer for the price?
We usually have a tree, though since we visit my in-laws most years, sometimes we don't get around to putting up a tree at home. No exterior decorations.
Obv not visiting in-laws this year, so tree is up. And yes, it's a real tree. I hate fake trees, and I hate trees that are pruned into a cone shape. I want a tree that looks like a tree, smells like a tree, and gets sap all over my hands while I'm putting it up.
In Colorado it’s easy to get a permit to harvest a tree from the national forest. Our natural tree is wonderful, and we murdered it with our own hands like real Americans.
