40lbs and 18yrs is quite a lot to give up. That said 20 to 1 sounds about right.

I'd love to see Ryan Hall fight Floyd Mayweather, Logan Paul, and Jake Paul all in the same night.

The more LOL moment is coming when Trevor tells the Jets there ain't no way he's going to play for them. The only question will be if the Jets decide to pick him anyway and have him sit out for the year/play in Canada or see how much they can get in return for the choice.

How exactly does it work. If the jets get the #1 pick and they pick trevor he can just tell them no? Does he have to take a year off and then retry to get drafted?

It’s definitely a possibility.

Also though, getting 3 first rounders would help too if they did decide to trade back or if not, getting an additional 1 to drop to 2 or 3 and pick Justin Fields would work too.

They have 12 months to sign him exclusively but then he can go back in the next draft I think.

Yeah but the Jets will go 0-16 again and pick him again.

Maybe they'll have an offensive line unlike my LOL Bengals.

Wow it's like you were right there when they were debating which Bible verse best supported keeping blacks out of Utah. Guess I just lucked out and found the one racist climbing shop.

Not signing is way more detrimental to the player than the team. Players have a small window to make game changing money. Not playing a year is a massive negative. Playing a year in Canada is almost worse because he makes pennies and the possibility of injury is yuge. The chances of sitting out a year and getting drafted in a higher spot is probably minimal, so the upfront draft money is smaller and 4-5 years down the road who the **** knows. Ryan Leaf is just as likely as Peyton Manning.

Is this how pros play? Not a super exciting spot, but I'm just trying to figure out which player is the pro and which is the wealthy fish.

The goal is the contract after the rookie contract. Playing for the Jets severely reduces the chances of getting there. FWIW, John Elway and Eli Manning played the same game with teams they didn't want to get drafted by. Elway was going to sign a minor league baseball contract.

they had a lot more leverage too though. Elway played for the Yankees in a short season A league in 1982, he was drafted in the NFL in 1983. Eli had pedigree in that his father, before Drew Brees came along, was considered the greatest QB in Saints history, and his brother had 4 double digit winning seasons already. idk anything really about Trevor Lawrence, so idk if he thinks he could sit out or force a trade

but look further at the teams involved - how did those trades work out for all teams involved?

the Broncos and Giants, who received the QB, won multiple super bowls each and both QBs were HOF caliber players (albeit Eli to a much much lesser degree than Elway), while the Colts and Chargers didn't play in any SBs while the traded QB was in the league.

granted, the Rivers/Manning trade is much closer in hindsight, as Rivers is probably also a HOF QB.

That's what I'm asking. I thought the open was standard. I wouldn't call with QJo from OOP the once in a blue moon when the rec player 3 bets pre though. Not sure what he thinks he beats on river either but lol blockers I guess.
