looking forward to this weeks game

what are your thoughts on the matchup?

niners 6-0 vs rams past three years..

think home field could move the needle on the outcome for sure, not sure about the legitimacy of that story though

tickets selling at a huge premium

$800 or so to get into the arena with fees.

was thinking about going but huge time sink in addition to the prices

Is that the case? That's when I bought my tickets for Wrestlemania and if I recall correctly they were like $250 or $300 each for some of the worst seats out of the 101,763 that attended.

That being said I think going to sporting events in general is a fish move. Most of the time its boring as hell and when it is an amazing event you still wonder whether it was worth the trouble of getting the hell out of the stadium.

What you do in the barrio is you watch the event on a big screen in the front yard. Crack some cervezas, grill some fajitas y chuletas. Call over like 30 to 40 vatos y senoritas. You can be a lot more rowdy in your front yard than at the stadium and you're not cramped in the little stadium seats. It's much more fun and then after the game you can go to the backyard to fire your pistola into the air because you are so happy.

I started going to live sport again when my boy started taking a strong interest.

We go to about half the home games for God’s Own Mighty Roosters, basically whenever his sport allows it and then I take him to the State of Origin or Australia games when they’re in Sydney. I don’t mind it, but I go because he loves it and that makes me enjoy it.

If I had a son, he'd love to go to Rooster games too but he'd have to settle for SMU home games instead. Go Ponies?

Meh. Drive a little and come to a Frogs game.

If we are going to go that far we might as well stop at DFW Airport and go to a Roosters game instead.

I definitely think the Niners have a legitimate shot. The underdog has outperformed in games between these two teams for like a decade, and LA is close enough/Rams newly enough back that the fans will be pretty split. Rams are the better team on paper, especially at QB, but Jimmy G has a history of winning ugly.

I'd put it at like 65% for a Rams win, if I had to guess.

From the looks of things, Rampage has more than rebounded since a couple of these $10K punts (both in terms of poker winnings and YouTube earnings).

I'm a Niners fan now. I fully blame you.

I don't care about poker winnings or youtube earnings. I judge the quality of his play. It's not that he lost the hand. It's that he butchered it.

Here's another one the youtube algorithm fed me yesterday.

There are less mistakes on this one, but in general it's click button central from both players.

Mr. RTP,

Based on everything u have poasted over the past couple o years I would say that you are quite good with managing your $ and generally speaking live well below your means.

I also see that you are a big rams fan.

Being able to go and see your fave team perform in the playoffs seems like a total no brainer here. This is exactly why you have been busting your ass and allocating 80+ hours per week to poker. So that you can take a day and treat yourself to something that may not happen again for a long time. Surprise your mom and have an awesome day with her that you will not soon forget

I mean, he plays nosebleeds compared to my lol cheeseburger steaks, so I really can't be one to judge. But in the end the only thing that can define the validity of an overall poker strategy is whether it wins (and by how much) over the long term. So far, and taken at face value, whatever he's doing seems to be working out pretty decently.

I agree with this. You never know if this time is the last time.

I told Mrs Breeze about 5 years ago that if the Bengals ever won a Super Bowl that I'd be on the next flight to Cincinnati. After Saturday's game she looked at me and asked if I'd been looking at flights to Cincinnati and on what day that meant.

Yup. Happy Valentine's Day Honey. YOLO.

+1. I had the good fortune to go to the Super Bowl in New Orleans when Favre & the Packers won. While every football fan should have the opportunity to get the Super Bowl experience regardless of teams, it's plus a million when it's your team. I imagine NFC Championship would be very similar.

Good luck, both to you in being able to go and the Rams.

Seconded. I was too big of a nit for too long with stuff like this. Lately been splashing a bit and it feels good.

Obv no idea what RTP's financial situation is but if you're an over-saver like me, loosen up and watch your life EV skyrocket.
