In that case the book sucks.

Obviously the "never limp postflop" strategy is at odds with my typical strategy. Still, I'd be open to reading it just to see if it has some hidden gems. What's the saying: if a $20 poker book gave you just 2 great ideas it's a steal?

I'm not spending 40 dollars or 40 cents on the book but I got 5 on the Lyft once this thread gets where it's going.

Assuming your playing a decent amount of 1-2 NL
What's your cut of the $40 per book gross sales?

Mod note: Account banned for blatant shilling. How blatant? See the original post below, noting that all three accounts has the same IP address and an email address associated with the author.

Neither answer changes the value of the content the ebook would bring you as a 1-2 player bro

Alright, you've had your fun. No more posts from the author without contacting the Admins and getting registered as an advertiser or self-identifying and verifying identity to a mod, in which case you can answer direct questions without being an advertiser, but cannot post promotionally.

Any "reviews" of this book from new accounts that are short, promotional, and from new accounts will find the new account banned and the posts scrubbed from now on.

If anyone has read the book and would like to post an actual review, feel free. If you have less than 100 posts, be aware that it will be scrutinized.

My whole ~10 years of posting on here with my passive preflop strategy was simply a ruse so that I wouldn't arouse suspicion when finally advertising my actual book/strategy. CAN"T BELEEVE TEH MODS FELL FOR IT SUCKAS!

LOL. Buy the book and give us an honest review!
02-28-2019 , 04:14 PM
If the author wants to give me a review copy, I'll post a review. I guarantee it wouldn't be biased in either direction. I also have reviewed books as well as albums and concerts since the late '90s so I can definitely string sentences together!

What other low limit NLH specific books have you read?

This is a useful turn of events, looking forward to your review.

NYCNative is a long time Bricks and Mortar/Casino and Cardroom Poker poster. I'm confident he'll post a solid review based on what I've read of his postings over the years.

On the other hand, our shills were all from the same unique IP address. Antonio, pro tip. The next time you try to set up a fake account, don't use your real email address with your name in it.

Way back when I was first starting out I read Winning Low Limit Hold’em by Lee Jones, Harrington on Hold’em and of course Super System. But it has been years...

Haha, I am glad folks have confidence in me, but I don't know the author and while he may be among us, he has yet to reach out to me with an offer of a review copy.

Aside from being a recreational $1/2 player for some time and a dealer for the past 8+ years, I am a writer. It used to be my occupation but after retiring for a few years I came back because I missed it. I write about music - loud-ass music for the most part. I have reviewed a few books in my time.

A couple I did last year if anyone cares (about my writing or about punk/metal):

Straight Edge: A Clear-Headed Hardcore Punk History
For the Sake of Heaviness

Anyway, I'm here if Mr. Dinardi wants to reach out and get a little free publicity!

If kid cash/foxwoods dealer really believes in his product contact me. I have been a perfessional gambooler for a very long time. I have coached up numerous 1/2 players to play 2/5. My w/r in 2/5 is quite high over a massive sample. I will give honest feedback on your book. If it is legit I am quite sure several 1/2 players will in fact purchase it based on my reviews. There are multiple mods that will vouch for my legitimacy.

Just so our perspective reviewers are aware (and yes, I'll vouch for both of them as being good choices) Antonio is not going to be able to PM you here. His accounts have been banned and were too new to PM anyway.

I'm sure he's still reading this thread, though, so if you are willing to post an email address in a public place, he could potentially reach out to you. Or you could go to his website and see if there's a contact listed, if you want to go to that much work.

He can email me at tarn97ygnb at liamekaens dot com.

It's a temporary email address I can delete at any time but I will get email there until I shut it off.

I’m going to buy n read this next week

The fact that this guy shills his book from multiple IP addresses is all I need to know about this material.
03-01-2019 , 06:48 AM
From reading his LinkedIn page, he appears to be prone to use 25 words to describe something when 5 would do. That includes repeating himself in different sections. I fear the reviewers are in for a hard slog. Odds of them getting through it just decreased.
03-01-2019 , 09:49 AM
if author was smart he would take the offers of reviews. i'll throw my hat in the ring too if he wants. i'm always up for reading more poker books and willing to give honest feedback. the concept is actually very good - 1/2 & 1/3 plays different than higher stakes and there aren't many (if any?) books that really focus on those stakes.

though if his advice pre starts with never limp/always raise yourself, it's not a great start. at most 1/2 & 1/3 tables, refusal to limp is just going to cost you money because you're either going to be playing too tight and not taking advantage of huge IO to hit strong hands with middling starting hands or you're going to be raising way way too wide and not able to defend your range post flop (even if your opponents don't understand what a range is)

short sighted and wreaks of desperation

you've already proven yourself to be manipulative and underhanded and now we can add condescending too.
