Or will the pile-on against some guy who has literally done everything wrong since I asked about this book (up to and including unverifiable and laughable claims of being "the highest earning 1-2 and 1-3 player in the world") be much more amusing than swift justice?

Wow, what a wasted opportunity. Someone starts a thread about your book on the world's largest English-speaking poker forum (and a book publisher's forum to boot), and this is what you do with it?

There's definitely a possibility of that happening - people who desperately want your book because they need your advice, but don't want to pay for it. But the way you've handled these requests/suggestions is just as ham-handed as everything else you've done in this thread so far. You could've simply politely declined, telling people you've already got enough reviews, but thanks for the offers. Or you could have taken a few minutes to look at the posting history of those who made the offers to see if any of them would have been worthwhile. Even if you're correct in your assumption that they all fit the category of "someone who does not earn what I earn in the game", a reputable forum member or two might have been able to help you a great deal.

No idea if this is true (although I have my suspicions), but I find it hard to imagine how this is in any way verifiable, so it just comes off as braggadocio. Humility would have done been a much better line to take, especially after your atrocious beginning in this thread with your fake accounts. A heavy dose of humility.

Always good to come on a forum and basically tell people they all suck, and so do the people they're learning from on the forum, so they should by your book - Marketing 101!

You need to contact 2+2 administration through one of the multiple links you'll find at the bottom of pretty much any page on this forum, before posting anything related to your book again. I wouldn't suggest coming back with any more fake accounts; as you can see, everyone's pretty suspicious of that kind of thing now. And we'll have no issue adding your site name to the spam filter if we need to; hopefully we won't have to go down that road.

Somewhat in his defense, this is the same account he used earlier - Venice asked him to stop posting and left it open, so he'd have an easier way of communicating with us. Unfortunately, that request was either missed or ignored.

It's not impossible, but it would be a challenge, and would require a skill set he hasn't shown to this point. But perhaps he lashed out because he was stung and/or embarrassed by the criticism, and has yet to put his best foot forward.

You don't learn too fast, do you? You cannot promote on this forum without being an advertiser. You are allowed to answer direct questions about your work, but you cannot post promotional/review links, use your website as your screen-name/location, make promotional posts, etc. I told you this back in post #32.

Contact Bobo Fett, who posted above and told you how to do all of those things. If you promote again without his OK, this newest account will also be banned.

Says the guy who created several fake accounts to give glowing accounts of his own book, including literally lying about who he was, ignored the forum rules he was told about in post 32, ignored the reminder in post 59, so got his 4th account banned in post 80, only to immediately create another account and ignore the rules posted in all of the above posts once again.

The testimonials from the fake accounts are so bad I’m wondering if they are really from the author or from some random trolling the thread acting like the author to make him look bad. It seems like a lot of work for someone messing around, but seeing how this thread has gone he definitely got his money’s worth.

What do you consider the cutoff for early 30s? If it is <33.5 I’ll run upstairs and ask my mom for $40.

For those who didn't see it, our author fired off 5 posts on a new account (since banned) interspersed in among the last 10 posts that are still above.

I like where he refers to "the author" in the third person in one post, and then the very next post says "I've sold". Also amusing that his response to the crack about plagiarism is to say that his book is copyrighted, as if that is in some way relevant.

Tempted to buy this thing and post anything amusingly wrong here, but don't really want to give this guy money. Also, from looking at the table of contents, it looks to be a pretty vanilla/ABC guide to NL, so there's probably not much egregiously wrong information in it.

For those who missed it, author came back with another shill account, which has been banned and scrubbed.

And to update again, author has been back at least four times in the last three months shilling his work. The one I just banned at least admitted that it was him, but is still posting promotionally without arranging with Bobo, and the ones before that were more fake "happy customers," at least two of whom pointed to "all the great Instagram reviews" (which are likely also all shills that are really Antonio) as evidence of how great the book is.
