Hero is at his 1/3 game that plays pretty wild. Sometimes there are straddles pre flop to $40. Most of the people have money so stacks can get up in the $1000 - $2000 range.

Hero has $700 - my image should appear good - as I haven't been to active, but not sure if villain knows this.
Villain has about $500 - This guy is stuck and plays a lot of weird hands. But I haven't seen him raise his draws vs me yet, but he is capable of it.

Villain BTN straddles to $13 - I make it $30 with black QQ - folds to him, he calls.

$64 pot
Jd7c5h
I bet $40
He calls

Turn $144 Td
Not a great turn card as now 89 got there and JT
I bet $85
Villain raises to $200 - or $115 more to me.

Hero?

What position are you in?

Pre-flop seems way to small in a wild game. I'd go $50. If you bet $50, SPR is 4.5 and you can feel pretty good about gii with an overpair.

As played, SPR is about 7.5, and I think we're too deep to gii with just one pair. I like the flop bet, and am OK with turn bet too, but I fold to the raise since I'm not willing to play for stacks.

Cant imagine folding this to a guy with such a wide range on a coordinated board. I'm going to rip this in, I think a guy whose stuck in particular will call this off with some of his combo draws that just emerged

I agree that pre flop raise should be bigger.Particularly against described Villian I don't really see him ever wanting to put 13 dollars out there and fold. Make him make a mistake.

Agree a little more pre after straddle.
OTF fine
OTT - fold to the raise. Most 1/3 players won't raise OTT when they pick up extra equity on a hand that's still drawing (like 87dd). Unless you've seen this kind of play from him before - let it go.

What are the stacks like? Is there a bunch of people that cover us, or is everyone else below us? Any chance at raising to like 10% of stacks preflop (say $50) and getting action at this table (which sounds like it could be actiony)? ETA: Just noticed the straddle was to a very large $13 (and not a standard $6) which makes a bigger preflop raise setting up a trivial preflop/postflop spot all around.

Preflop hasn't left us in the greatest of spots. We're HU but we're also OOP with an SPR of ~7. Is this guy going to stack off with worse to 3 postflop streets of betting, especially against solid image us? Unless he has AJ, probably not? With this SPR, Villain could easily smooth call 3 bets and easily get whatever is remaining (if there is any) in on a last river raise. So I'd probably consider checking the flop, especially if he can be bluffy / floaty.

As played, if we're betting any streets, I think we have to bet to fold.

Honestly, if Villain has made a better hand here, he really let us off the hook. If he simply flatted the turn bet, the pot would be just slightly over a PSB for the river with us kinda left in no mans land OOP.

Stacks are around $500 - $1000 at this point. 2 short stacks with maybe $100 but most people have a stack

So i folded and villain just mucked instantly. I'm pretty sure I made a good fold but it was a tough spot for me.

I made it only $30 pre because my image was pretty tight at the time, and I wanted action.

Had I of made it $50 pre I don't think I could fold this.

Agree with others about raising bigger pre. If a guy is throwing out 13 on a button straddle he is going to call almost any raise. And the 13 now means you are really playing 1/3/13, which is bigger than 5/10! Blast this up preflop to 50 minimum. Taking down the pot and winning $17 uncontested is not a bad result for QQ

Another tricker play would be to go for a limp/reraise. You could potentially win a ton of dead money by doing this if you are in early position. QQ hates a lot of flops, and being out of position is going to make your life even harder.

As played, I agree the ten was a bad card and I would b/f the turn.
