Playing a 5-200 spread limit game. I have $200 behind. I have 88 in the CO. 5 limpers and I call 5. Dealer and SB fold. Flop 567 rainbow. UTG bets out 20. I raise to 60. He moves all in and has me covered. I call. He shows 1010 and I miss my draw too. Bad all in call by me?

What is the villian's playing style? Is he ahead or behind in the session? What is your image? What is the table dynamic? Do you have history with the villian in similar situations? The original poster does not contain enough information.

Moved from poker theory, 5-200 spread is essentially no limit with $200 stacks so I figure it belongs here.

Anyway, preflop $30 goes in. On the flop UTG bets $20, you raise to $60, he calls the $60 and raises to what amounts to $165, so his raise must have been an effective $100 on top of your $60. So the pot is now 30+20+60+60+100=270 and you have to call $100

Your pot odds are 270:100 so if you think you can win about 1 in 3.7 times it's a good call. What do you think his shoving range is? Surely it must include all made straights, sets, all overpairs and probably some straight draws. I dunno, stove some ranges and see what you come up with.

Personally I'm not sure I love your flop raise.

My image was very tight. I had been folding a lot previously. He was a newer player that just sat down abou 15 min prior.

I think an overpair is actually one of the weaker hands in villains range. I think villain played it pretty bad by bet/3betting TT in a limped pot on a board of 567. I think the worst hand any decent player will call the shove there with is exactly 88.

As for how you played it, I think its fine. You maybe should have raised pre to thin the field. On that flop with 88 you should not be afraid of getting it all in.
