Call preflop any day of the week. 4:1 expressed odds, in position, 2.5% of effective stacks vs. PF raiser. If there's ever a time to play J9s this is it.

Never folding once I hit this flop.

The X:1 pre flop matters to me because I would not call if there were not other callers. (The stack sizes matter, of course.) Is that not correct?

I was going to write almost exactly this.

I also like the flop raise- the initial bet looks weak

Here's a really good thread on this topic. One of the best posters itt even mentions J9s.

Getting a top 10% flop for your hand that then gives you the right to bluff off your stack isn't profitable poker.

Do you have any thoughts of your own to add on this topic? It seems like you understand the basic math involved in poker reasonably well, but I don't get the impression that you've ever actually played a single hand of poker.

Flop is a good spot for a semi-bluff raise if you think Villain is capable of cbetting a pair less than Kx...especially if you have ever seen him cbet bluff in the past. If he is one of the relatively few players who doesn't ever cbet without TP+, then just overcall the flop cbet.

As far as preflop discussion goes, this is a very profitable overcall with J9dd on BTN at these stack sizes, and I think you would be giving up lots of EV if you folded preflop.
