Any advice would be helpful.
I was playing pretty solid (tight and aggressive) In a 75$ LIVE buyin.
Started with 30k. I have about 100 BBs with 40k+ in chips 90mins in. Blinds at 200/400.
Guy (loose, aggressive) in Middle Position limps. Tight, passive player on button raises to 1500. i have A10 off and call. Middle Position calls. 3 to the flop.
AsJd10c.... I check. MP checks. Button(pre flop raiser) checks. turn comes 4h. I lead out 2700. MP calls. BB calls. River is 8h. Board is AsJd10c4h8h. I check...MP shoves for 21k...BB thinks and folds. I think ask a question...he doesnt say anything...i wait 15 secs and fold. Button said he folded j10 suited but i dont know if he was telling the truth even tho he seemed like he wasnt much of a liar. I would like any advice on this hand cause I dont know if I messed up not calling...betting river. leading out flop. I was surprised nobody raised after flop and was thrown off. Was my turn bet not big enough? PLEASE HELP
I assume you're in the blinds? Calling pre is terrible vs a tight-passive button since you're OOP and he probably has a premium hand which means your reverse implied odds are terrible. Calling ATo is very very bad here.
As played (which is bad, although turn bet is fine) you should bet-fold the river. You're making a thin value and blocking bet, and forcing villain to bluff-raise a river if he's bluffing, and live randoms don't bluffraise rivers.
Just make it 3900 or whatever on the river and fold if he raises, even if it's a minraise.
Thanks...i was in small blind. MP was limping alot. thought even if I put button on AK AQ KK QQ JJ i wasnt getting bad odds considering MP is not limp raising ever. I would have felt alot better betting river. Thanks good point
