Floor comes by with the splash pot drawing bucket, I pull our table and the $250 splash pot tile.

Cards are dealt, I'm on the Button (~$400) with 910o. I probably have a winning image, maybe slightly above average aggression image, playing TAG. There is one other aggressive player (read: gambly, not a winning player) at the table and he has me covered, along with a tight player who has me covered.

The limp fest begins, and the other aggressive player in CO looks like he wants to raise to 20, but limps instead. HJ limps. SB and BB are tight. All short stacks are tight.

Do we raise, shove, or limp?

Curious to hear others' responses to this. In the limited experience I've had with splash pots, people generally have no idea how to play them. Neither do I, really, because I don't know what to expect out of my opponents.

If the table limped around, my guess is that the blinds will complete unless they have a premium hand. OTB here I'm probably just limping behind. Not sure what a raise to $20 accomplishes.

Can we get an explanation of the splash pot? Never heard of it...

Raise to 100 if you have a hand otb since no one else has a hand. theres over 250 in the pot already.

a splash pot is a table selected at random, floor comes over and adds money to the pot before the hand is dealt.

$250 is a lot of dead money for a $400 stack.

I would be very tempted to make a big raise here, but doing so pretty effectively commits your stack to the pot. For that reason, I don't mind shoving but don't be surprised if you get a caller. As long as you're not playing scared money or with a short bankroll, I'd probably pull the trigger.
