Anyone want to call here?
As a couple of others have noted, of all the spades, the Ace coming on the River is the most interesting.
I don't totally discount that he was on a FD, but I think its significantly more unlikely now given that both the A and the K are out.

64 has been discussed but other than that suited one-gapper type of hand (might Villain not have re-re-raised the Flop?), is he meant to have Q9?

I know think the Flush is less likely and while he may have Kings up, do we have to include QQ, JJ, TT, 88, 77, 66, 44 in his range?

I'll prepare myself for a roasting, but I'm now definitely calling.
Also, I'm contemplating a shove. On a scale of 1 to 10, just how bad would a shove here be?

-------------
Just read everyone else's views on the River call... probably a good thing I'm tighter in game than after the fact in spots like this.

Hero folds.

Results:
Spoiler:
Hero makes comment about villain chasing and getting there. I did this partly because I was a bit frustrated and mad at myself for my play, but mostly because I find that I can often get villains to show their hands when I say something. I don't always try to get them to show, but every now and again I try, and am surprised by how often it works.

Villain shows K7 - He did have a pair and a flush draw, bu he picked up his FD on the turn.

I checked the river because I think that most villains at this level are big on showing down and can't bluff the river like this - turns out this one could

river wp imo

1. there are too many flushes in his range
2. you will rarely be exploited this way. put it in your notes on this player for the future though.

next time we will be c/r semi-bluffing s ; )

I agree with my one true love 808. Note, people on this board cannot help you judge who will bluff this river and with what frequency. All advice is given IN OUR EXPERIENCE, and most posters agree this isi a hand that beats us too often to call.

Well played, and thank the lord for spastic villains who show. All these small things are what add up to me not having to get up in the morning if I don't really fancy it.

Thanks for the input - I wasn't really looking for advice on whether he was bluffing the river. I realize that's a pretty villain/situation/table-dependent thing and that read can never be communicated on a forum like this.

I posted it for a couple of reasons
1) thought it would be an interesting hand to discuss
2) I was disgusted with myself after he showed, and found myself thinking "should I have check folded the river or should I have made a blocking bet" so I wanted to hear other's opinions. As is usually the case, I think the line taken (mistake made?) early in the hand got me to a bad situation on the river, and I hope to learn from this hand.

Probably won't tho. Off to play teh pokers.
