The game is not technically no limit. It is 1/2 spread limit to 100. I buy in just for a hundred. Its the second hand of the night we are seven handed. V is BB and I don't know him. He seems to know the dealers and seems comfortable so I assume he's been around a bit. Other than that, no read. My 100 stack is the effective stack in the hand.

I'm dealt A8 of hearts UTG. This really was probably a fold. But I did a poor job of adjusting my 6max preflop charts to 7 players and thought it may be strong enough for an open. So I did. I open to $7. It folds to V in BB who calls.

Flop
Ac 8c Co
(I'm sorry for forgetting the third card.)

V checks to me.

Definitely a fold pre with this stack size.

I feel like this is going to be a difficult PAHWM if we have to do the whole thing not knowing one of the board cards, but maybe it won't matter. Bet like 15. His calling range is probably inelastic here so you want to go large.

A8 is an open in 6max?

I've got few hands under my belt in 6max and doubt even best players turning profit with A8 utg.

No. Its a fold UTG for sure. I'm just coming back after an extended absence, I've been studying 6max (which is new to me), mis recalled my UTG range while trying to extrapolate a decent range for 7 or 8 players.

It should have been a fold for sure.

About the forgotten card: it was under the 8 and does not come into play in the hand.

Fire about 90% of pot. Fire ~55% on turn, easy shove on river. Don't get sucked out on. Easy game.

Mashing on pot button rarely works these days. Why you sizing so big. When we have board smashed?

I fired 10 into 14 (after the rake) V called without much hesitation.

Turn ($34)
an off suit 10 giving us
Ac 8c Xo To

(Yes, I need to get better at remembering details of hands, and I will with more practice.)

V checks

On the flop with small pots I find V's to be bet size inelastic. H bet $10 and got called quickly. If he would have bet $12 (my recommendation) he would have gotten called just as easily.

with the stack size im playing for stacks so i would bet 30 and call any shove. if he calls that leaves 50 on the river into 84

I bet $25 into $34 and V calls just about as quickly as he did on the flop. I reaffirm my commitment barring tragedy on the river.

The river is Jc for a final board of
Ac 8c Xo To Jc

V thinks for a moment and puts out a $40 bet into the (roughly) $84 pot.
